+Overdrive I love the high amount of bass and other unfiltered sounds that you receive in hearing a live version, verses a filtered studio version-makes me feel so much closer to actually being there!
+Overdrive I totally agree with you, besides i think the tempo is a bit more higher, and coupled with that first verse it's just amazing. "Daddy's little girl ain't a girl no more ..." amazing
+Rex Know when you're beaten, seriously. He didn't even ask you to take it down or report it. All you had to do was not be an ass and add the mans credit.
The audio is from their show in Sir Henry's in Cork, Ireland in 1991. The whole audio for the show is up on this, and definitely worth taking a listen. Brilliant brilliant show, one of their best by far
@@vonclohk507 no way bro… studio version is unmatched and always will be. Pure anger and rage with Kurt at his peak. Rhino records maybe but the versions after ‘89 aren’t the same energy as the early days
They're not playing out of tune though. Nirvana never plays out of tune, unless it's a joke. I don't know why people kept saying they play out of tune.
One of my favorite live versions. They were having so much fun then. Then fame and fortune ruined all the harmony and fun that took years to create. Create your own illusion (s)......Thanks Dave Markey...
Create what? He said in 93 hes out of ideas, last year of life he did mostly remakes of old songs....I bert in my balls he would maybe make one album if he lived, with who idk, Nirvana idt so...
@@vilimbubas1302Such a bad take. All artists get burned out after a while of hard work. The reason Cobain was running out of ideas in 93 is because of his problems in life overwhelming him.
I thought muddy banks of the wishkah Negative Creep was my fav but this is starting to pass it up. Just unreal. Hearing this loud in headphones when they kick into full gear is otherworldly.
NIRVANA !!!.... Awesome!!!.... a real Punk spirit inside of them. This version is great. Thurston Moore(SONIC YOUTH) was drinking beer in the middle of stage... little trouble boys.
I can see there's few people looking for the show where Kurt is hanging/playing around Krist's neck..its 08/25/91 - Domein Kiewit (Pukkelpop), Hasselt, Belgium
Great song. heavy sound. Nirvana were popular and are still popular because they are unique and their songs can make you relate and help you not feel alone. whether you are happy, or sad or angry, there is a song you will find that you can connect with. no bad songs, but songs that are appreciated more than others.
“1991: The Year Punk Broke” Awesome rock doc! If it hadn’t been for that movie we wouldn’t have the awesome footage towards the end of Nirvana’s set at Reading ‘91 where Kurt dives into the kit. There are some shots from that show here, too 🤘🏻 🔥 🎸
Cobain is not a common name in Ireland but you will come across it from time to time, I've seen two Irish Cobains on TV, one was a girl on University Challenge and the other was a fella being interviewed on the news about something or other that happened in Dublin.
Unique vocals, lyrics, music, personality. However, above all: Kurt was anomalously unique and an exceptionally pulchritudinous human being. R.I.P. Kurt / 1967-1994
seriously, kurt cobain is the only guy in history that can make 90's clothes look good. google 90's clothes and see some of the horrors that were about at the time - then come back and appreciate how cool this guy was
Everything about this is so perfect. What a presence. The magical angels of great music were attaching to Kurt so strongly in the early 90’s. Pure magic.
I'm thinking that's actually Kim Gordon, and I believe the fella messing with the beer and who pulls Kurt back on stage at the end is none other than Thurston Moore. There's quite a bit of Sonic Youth mischief scattered throughout the video.
@@krashd Nah it's Kurt singing. Here is footage of Kurt singing the intro just like this one a month later. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Djwzy4CdUYc.html
...still one of my all-time favorite early Nirvana songs (my favorite live version is on the posthumous "From The Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah" live compilation album) -- even if Kurt did rip-off Mudhoney's "daddy's little girl" line in its lyrics/chorus!
I have The Year That Punk Broke on DVD. As soon as this song cuts in: it is undeniable who the coolest band was on the tour. Kurt even looks cool in shorts and a corny 90's shirt. All this before Smells Like Teen Spirit launched them in America.

@@TommyFenstermacher5150 Listened to it a couple of more times, now i can definitely hear them both, i always thought it was just edited overdubbed vocals for the video
I was at this show in Cork summer 91 where this audio recorded. this blew my f**king head off. They were so f**king loud. the band were in their prime that summer.
