I love Grohl as a drummer, but Chad is unbelievably powerful here. He's way better than we've been led to believe. If I was to walk in and hear this band in a club, one of my first impressions would be "Good drummer."

zagaya1975 Kurt wrote the bass lines lol He just played what Kurt told him to play. Its a fact. Even for the drums. In Bloom for example, it's a Kurt patterns.

Interesting, so you think Grunge is not a genre but a mainstream creation? I just find Nirvana very different from all the Seattle escene bands. Or course all of them have different influences and i think Nirvana had more from punk than other genres. And well, their pop sound came afther production and Mixing, all the Nevermind demos they are just as dirty as Bleach or Incesticide tracks. Btw i'm starting to get more into Alice in Chains, maybe i'll change my point of view.

Saw Nirvana Tad and Screaming Trees, at some place in Ellensburg, late 88ish .... still had Chad on drums and Jason on bass with the band, and Krist was on guitar ... amazing I remember that much of it haha

I arrived to a show at Chop Suey very early. The only other people in the place were the bartender and Tad. Tad was standing a bit off of the bar. I walked over to the bar to get a beer. The bartender turned her back to me and ignored me for a bit. Tad walked up to the bar. With Tad at the bar, she turned right around and asked, "What can I get for you, Tad?" Tad looked at her, then looked at me, and said, "I believe this gentleman was here before me." Tad's a great human.

Yeah, he's still around. My story is about 10 years old. But Tad is recording right now with an outfit called Brothers of the Sonic Cloth. There was a Tad documentary that came out not too long ago. It's called Busted Circuits and Ringing Ears. And I believe it can be found here on RU-vid.
