Nirvanashatkam I Adi Shankaracharya I Sooryagayathri 

Marvellous tuning, Superb singing, above all a Bold selection of a rare raga, Guhamanohari the Panchama & Gandhara varjya one Guhamanohari. 👌👌👌One more apoorva raga after her piece in Lavangi. A raga which I believe not much handled even by the Trinity. I have heard only one composition by Brazil Subramaniam in this raga so far. The Sansksrit master piece framed in khandachappu is handled by SG in a very 'crisp' and clear style. Now a days, among artists of SooryaGayathri's age group, clear pronunciation of 'Shi' in shiva is seldom heard. Contemporary generation struggles to distinguish between 'sha' in shiva and 'sha' in bhaasha(language). Thanks to her education and training in Sanskrit, her pronounciation is of very high standard(It would have gone very bad otherwise, since the word Shiva appears many a times in the krithi). The usual panoramic video back ground is absent in this video, and the present is the apt one for its highly vedantic lyrics. A big WOW to Sooryagayathri for 1.
