I just recently switched from Canon to Sony. When researching Sony lenses, the 12-24 looked a great option at first but with the bulbus front it was a no go! I'm sure those filters work great but to carry them around safely and work with them in the field in rough conditions is ridiculous. Here's link to one guys DIY answer to using a polariser on the lens: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r8KR_NaZBtg.html
Hi Daniel, I also have the S5 and the bag is 20 x 20 x 9 cm. So if you're wondering if it fits in your photo backpack: Probably not, at least not for me. I can fit the filterholder (a bit angled) in my Lowepro ProTactic 450 or Flipside 500, but the bag won't fit at all. It also only offers room for the holder, not for any filters. Just in case you were wondering, because I was and couldn't find the info anywhere.
The foam does not help. Sunlight penetrates the side of the glass in long exposures and messes up the shot. We have to create a custom cloth to prevent that.
i always wondered if there is significant light leaking trough? with their 100mm system they have a gasket around the filters. but not with the S5 right?
No foam. I have the same problem. There is a gap between the filter en holder. Also the 150x150 filter just narrowly blocks the lens. A few mm to far and there is a gap where light comes and messed up your photo. Iam sending it back.
