So you want to achieve 300hp without having to break the bank? look no further! this S15 T28 also known as garret turbo's GT2560 will get you there!
There’s no doubt that this OEM Nissan Silvia S15 T28 Turbo is a highly responsive and capable turbo. This is the final version of the Sr20det turbos that Nissan released on the S15 and by far the best performer.
In this video we'll be removing the factory Sr20det T25 Turbo and replacing it with an S15 GT2560 T28 Ball Bearing Turbo. If you've never removed or installed Turbo's before then by the end of this video you will have a good understanding on how to Turbo's, manifolds, dump pipes, oil & coolants lines on just about any car!
No doubtably their are alternative turbo's to choose from, but if your OEM turbo has an issue, you may well want to stick to keeping your SR20 how Nissan intended from the factory.

This is a great video and very informative. Was scrolling through old forums and there's a lot of misinformation and this pretty much covers everything completely. Everyone said the S13 and S15 manifolds were the same for instance!

Currently rebuilding the motor on my 180sx and going through and tidying up allot of stuff in the process. Went through a bunch of your vids tonight to get some familiarisation on it all. Keen to follow your build and probably be doing allot of the same to mine in the future.

The lines are worth are worth a lot of headache I had a t28 on my kouki sr and I had to have the factory lines brazed twice. But I had a big equal length bottom mount and a huge exhaust dump/ elbow With the wastegate spliter modified with a stainless clear down pipe. To a straight cat back rsr gt2 3 inch catback.

do you think that rubber hose for oil breather would get affected by the exhaust heat?

Yes indeed it definitely will, good pick up! After making this vid I came back to it and replaced it with a higher heat rating hose aswell as putting a heat shield sleeve around it 👌🏽

great informative video, im looking for one of these to do the same swap on my s13, is it ok to run the turbo with the stock ecu until it gets a nistune then tune?

Glad to hear, yep it will be fine and everything will run the same. If anything you’re A/F ratio may be on the lean side as more air is being pushed through than fuel. Some people even upgrade to 550cc injectors and Z32 maf to trick the stock ECU. It’s been 7months now for me and not one hiccup 👍🏽

Hey man! Ideally to get the most out of the turbo you’d go 550cc injectors, z32 maf and a tune. However I haven’t done any of that and it’s been running fine for a year now 👍🏽

You’ll be able to reach 300whp easily with the right supporting mods e.g Injectors, FMIC, Tune ect.
