Guys it’s a big scam!!! I replaced everything as well and I finally found the issue. If you have a manual it’s the small rubber peace on the clutch that hits the button under the dash that allows the car to turn on!!! The dealership charges you an arm and a leg then replaces that small rubber piece and it works like new! I fixed it with old piece of padded flooring attaching that to the back of the clutch pedal and it has worked just fine since!!!
All possible problems, but your procedure was all guess work! Not putting you down, just mentioning there's better ways than going thru all that expense - new battery, labor involved, new starter (which I'm on the fence about being the actual problem), labor and your time. There went your Saturday or time off from work day out the window. There's at least 5 other things it could be and I pray your starter was the issue for your pocketbook's sake.
Yes, this is exactly how you troubleshoot things ma’am. Your first guess is the easiest thing, which this gentleman did by checking the terminals. He then expanded his search to the next easiest and so on. This is why you’re probably better off just staying in the kitchen.
Same problem man i change the battery also the relay and the starter solenoid but still the same.sometimes its good but sometimes lot of clicking before it start.need advice pls.
Is your alternator charging the battery? Clicking sound is usually low battery or solenoid issue. Wonder if you hook up jumper cables if it'd start right away.
@@jonathanarrieta1034 Did you check the 2 fuses at the positive terminal coming off from your battery? Sounds like the body control module or electronic control module is not recieving power. The 2 fuses are right at your + battery terminal. The 80 amp is usually the one that has issues. Check for continuity on both sides of both fuses.
Ridiculous I have the same truck same problems change the starter check the fuses check the grounds still no start why is so many people having trouble with the same truck
Same here. Changed the battery and the starter on mine last weekend. Ram for 2 days and started with the same single click issue when turning the key. The fuses on positive battery terminal are both good still, but I’ll most likely still change it out today and see if it fixes the issue. If not the issue, I’ll have to take it to dealer and get it serviced, or for them to diagnose it and change it myself
Mine wasn’t the starter. Now what? All my problems started when a battery cable was replaced…. After that wouldn’t start. Live way out in the country and have no vehicle now. Anyone have any other ideas? Hope y’all have a good day!
I have same truck I have gone threw 3 battery's . first lasted 3 years second almost 2 last one not even 1 year ,brought to dealer he did all kinds of checks said I just don t drive it enough?? suggested I have A trickle charger put on..Told me The battery when I am driving alternater only charges battery when drivng 18mph .designed that way to make get better gas milage? .HArd to believe??
