1996 Nissan Hardbody pickup 4x4 2.4 liter. It has a coolant leak coming from somewhere under the intake somewhere. We use a pressure tester to discover that it is the bypass hose. More has to come off than I thought to remove and install it. Then we do tie rod ends because the wrong ones were installed.

Thank you for taking the time to post. That little 180 degree hose is a tough one. I just did mine yesterday on a 1997 Hardbody. I was able to get it on by removing the power steering pump and bracket. I maneuvered the hose into position with my left hand under the intake. To push the hose onto the fittings I used a short length of cotton strap, like you might find on an old backpack. I looped the strap over the middle portion of the hose and by pulling the strap with my right hand and wiggling the hose around with my left hand I managed to get it seated. Was not an easy job.

If you ever have any questions about anything feel free to ask away. It does not have to be just this truck but anything.

Thanks for the walk through. Just about to replace those hoses. I was hoping i could do it with out pulling the whole intake. Thought It was possible if I just pulled the power steering pump.

Your welcome. It always seems like the hardest to reach hose are the ones that need to be replaced and these are probably the hardest ones to get to on this engine lol.
