The Nissan looks great with the original style wheels and tires. It completes the look with the new paint. If you treat these trucks right, they run forever. Well almost, you know what I mean. Great job once again Randy.
Saved by Randy. One of the few times the original wheels make a vehicle look great. New owner can take it further if they want. It's saleable and you can park the truck in your driveway with pride. Another great rebuild.
I'd give 3500 for that truck and 4k if the A/C worked 👍 And someone who loves old Nissan's might give more, like 5k. Also love the JR collaborations, he's a decent guy too.
I love the wheels and tires! They truly compliment the era of the truck. Not to sure about the seat covers and the dash pad. But I agree, you have to stop somewhere. And the new tail lights look great! Stay safe!
Thank you RANDY - Thank you MIKE! - The Nissan/Datsun looks like new (little dents of not!) It's sound, safe and a GREAT addition to anyone needing one! I'd like to have a car sound as GOOD as your BIKE. That thing is bad ass! Hey, if you get a minute, check out all the nice fresh new stuff growing & filling in on your new ESTATE. Really nice property and the right season to watch it unfold. Thanks for another. Sonny
Those little toy trucks were all the rage when I was a teen. The Dakota V8 was the ultimate flex. I got a Ford Ranger though. 1995 Brilliant Blue and damn if the first thing people asked me to do was move stuff. Then I got tired of it all and got a 1997 Mustang.
And I can fully understand this type of thinking,I tracked down a set of 16x7 1992-1997 gmt400 Z71 aluminum wheels although they have the clear coat is peeling and is hazed... But I'd still rather the stock wheels be on this Silverado than the gm square body trucks sport white spoke styled steel wheels that the truck came with when I traded for it, they just don't look right on this truck and I am actually a fan of these gm square body sport steel wheels, and the aftermarket white spoke styled wheels that are made to look like them...
Hi Randy, I like your house and your back yard setup. plenty of room back there plus your pool also and all of the covered space you have to hang out under!
Love the wheels! Memories of my dad’s old Hard Body he bought in 1987. He bought the standard one and the only option it had was a/c. I installed the stereo and helper springs myself. Later on my sister bought the truck to drive as her daily. It was reliable and smooth.
Hey Randy 30 year repair shop owner here and loyal fan of the channel. Im worried about not seeing your other shop in a while and you mentioning a fire with the bmw. hope all is well with other shop! I had a fire or 2 in my shop over the years from vehicle fires.... Kelly
I like the factory wheels and tires..sometimes you have to go old school and bring the girl back to her basics..good job on the truck. Maybe you will just break even, but what a fun time bringing her back to life, right?
Gonna say it, I like the wide wheels better. But at the end of the day it's your truck to do what you like with. The stock ones don't look bad, the big wide ones just look better, give it a mean look like it means business. But I just went to larger, wider wheels on my 47K 1994 G20, so I'm partial. I buy seat covers at Ollie's Outlet, they always have a selection of cheap covers, like six to ten bucks and you can open them right up and check them out before you buy. I put them in my last two vans and they held up pretty well.
What you gave for seat covers you could have went to the junkyard and got you some newer model Nissan Sentra or Maxima sees that would really set the truck off give it updated look on the inside hundred bucks it would really give it a good look you do a great job with your build I'm proud of all the stuff that you have shown us keep ring great content
I put some xterra seats in my frontier for like 85 bucks, they look way better and match too. This guy doesn’t look like he does a ton of wrenching though, seat covers are easier
Randy - did you clean the interior prior to installing dash pad and seat covers? You indicated in earlier videos that you were were going to have. Mobile Detailer come and clean the trucks interior. For what it is, truck looks good and will definitely make someone happy!
Looks good Randy. I think you did the right amount of fixing on this truck. Ya got it looking decent so it will make someone a nice truck at a decent price. I'd definitely buy something like this over buying something brand new. I just like old beaters tho, nothing more liberating than driving an old beater.
Hey, just a heads up as I learned the hard way. Let your pool pump run 4 - 6 hours per day on off days. In the summer you should be running it 6 to 8 hours per day. We ended up having a yellow pool every week until I watched a RU-vid video and now we run the pool pump and have 2 to 3 of those round Chlorine tabs in one of those floater things (Skimmer maybe) until they fully desolve and you won't have the yellow mold or whatever it is.
just love the way them HD's sound like a couple of drum beats, nice bike you got there Randy, you would think they find a better way to fix these dash covers by now
Great looking little truck! You've done a great job on it. That's how shes supposed to look!! I can't wait to see how the ford looks when it's cleaned up too. Hopefully the nissan goes to someone who will enjoy it just like the f150. What a great video to start the week!
I Don't LOVE The wheels, But l DON'T Hate them either.... I definitely am a fan of the "FacTree" look!! I was thinking some white spoke or black spoke steel wheels would look good, but getting rid of the Overly Wide tires & the late '90s wheels was a Great decision Randy! Keep up the Great work buddy!! Love the videos on '80s, '90s, vehicle's...
I must admit I dislike those wheels you put on but that is just my opinion. Oh I thought you said you were going to have those Auto Detailers/Cleaners were going to clean the Nissan. I hope you had some milk and cookies for Santa Workshop helping you.
I remember long ago when I was looking at a used car and the salesman also showed me a few of these new that were actually cheaper than the used car I ended up buying.
It is my understanding, which was from a sales manager of a Mazda dealer back in 1987, that the trucks were given away, but they really got you on any car they sold. That is why you could get a truck so cheap. Also, these Hardbody trucks almost bankrupted the company.
I wish you had opted to repair the dents on the hood. Those look pretty bad and probably wouldn’t have costed too much to do “while in there” sort of thing
For your next lipstick on a pig I strongly suggest Coveralls seat covers. Made out of actual coverall materials. I've had a set in my semi truck for over 200,000 miles and just starting to show its age.
Love the wheels Randy! I was not sure at first because I actually liked your original big wheels that it came with, but you were absolutely right about the stockers being the way!
Probably there"s so much noise from that engine is those trucks had a clutch on the fan that go bad and the fan runs all the time. makes them sounds loud
Was looking forward to a Nissan hardbody video. I got fish, swimming pool, motor cycles, new number plates and lots of talking, which included every cliche ever used uttered and probably 7 minutes out of 30 on the Nissan. Theres a lot of fluff in your videos lately Randy. You won't like to hear this but that was 30 mintes of my life I won't get back.
Kinda surprised to hear you quote Metallica lyrics. Love the videos from Illinois, keep em coming. And those are Walmart style covers, good enough to not get foam bits on the back of your jeans.lol
