Nissan Infiniti QX56 transmission valve body repair

Customer states check engine light on. Found P1757 on this Nissan Infiniti QX56. This vehicle has the RE5R05A transmission. Seen this before and knew exactly what i was dealing with. Had to remove the valve body and solder the broken connection. The symptoms the customer describe was slow to take off from a stand still and would not go above a certain speed. I knew it was in limp home mode, trans defaulted to 2nd gear. Hope you enjoy this repair. sorry for the low light conditions.

I forget the exact code but my 2008 g35x was getting stuck in 4th. I pulled out my valve body and tcm and couldn't find any broken connections so I went to the junkyard and grabbed a valve body and tcm from a 2008 fx35 and put the fx35 tcm on my valve body and it's been good so far for about 15,000 km.

I've had my valvebody off and I didn't find anything broken, but I still don't have lockup in my 08 infiniti qx56

have you ever seen the P0720? similar code , says its the output sensor but its not and its the valve body. I see your an OG at this , can the valve body be rebuilt with just Solenoid if they went bad or is it always the connection once you really open it up.

I have qx56 2007 gets to 2nd gear stalls like going but it’s not then jerk hard when it kicks in but repeated stalling, I can ride in low gear lol, can this be my problem

I have a 2005 Infiniti qx56 and my neighbor lent me his obd reader and it showed the same code are yours so I took it into a mechanic and he gave me a list of things he says is wrong with my suv it will cost me $7,000 do you think he is wrong because the obd reader I saw it only showed 1 code

The little silver prong that sticks up next to what I assume is the range sensor, did that piece go into the little slot where the harness connects to the transmission with the green connector?

Same valve body on my titan. My symptom is it will start off in 1st and shift all the way up but then will not downshift. Could that same solenoid or connection cause that issue as well? I know you said that one wouldn’t go past 2nd.

My 2013 armada valve body failed on me few days ago on highway had to get it tow home. I have 147k miles on it

What was the symptoms?? Besides the code u got.. would it turn over before??

It was stuck in 2nd gear so it would start off slow from a stand still and it wouldn't shift to 3rd so you basically couldn't get past 25 or 30mph.

Thanks about to get one that has transmission trouble 2cnd transmission is what they said so I was wondering if they soldered it and the connection broke again.do you know if it's a frequent problem with these trucks
