That’s how batteries work. Electrochemical reaction happens inside, draining the chemicals, making it lighter, which means it doesn’t have as much power as it did
Spent much of the video telling folks what a key fob is Mind you, folks who just replaced the battery and obviously already know what the heck it's for! Then kept telling folks to take it to the stealer, err dealer !?!?
I have nissan altima 2013, but no tricks are working for me. I just changed the battery, and after replacement, nothing works. Can anybody guide. Thanks.

My key fob don’t work! I can’t open or lock and I can’t set the alarm either, but I can turn on the car. Any suggestions, what could it be? It’s not the key because of my two keys fobs it doesn’t work but I can start the car!
Everything, everywhere online told me that a 2017 Nissan Sentra took a 2032 battery, which worked to unlock my car, lock it, and open the trunk, but the car would not recognize the key for starting. The problem was that the battery is supposed to be a 2025.

The reprogramming thing worked for me in my 2018 Altima. Threw away a few new batteries wondering the thing wouldn't work. Finally saw this video and tried reprogramming the remote. 30-second fix did the trick.

I have a 2015 altima and this happened. If you hold the lock and unlock while sitting in the driver seat for 15 seconds. Then hold lock for on second, release, hold unlock for 1 second release. Worked. You will know if it is working because when you push and hold lock and unlock the hazards will flash with in a few seconds of holding them down. I went through about 5 new batteries before this worked for me. No telling how long those batteries were on the self either. It is very possible those batteries you bought were bad too. Thanks for the info. It works. Just sucks going through all those batteries.

Specific clarification: 2008 Altima push button start: hold lock button for 5 seconds then hold unlock button for 5 seconds then within 10 seconds press any key for 1 sceond

My Key Fob randomly stopped working. My other Key fob works. Although this doesn't seem to work. My battery was good. It worked Same day then remote stopped working. I can still Fob start the car... As in be in the car and it recognized the fob.
my key works like there’s a light that stays red for about a second then goes away but it doesn’t work to start it or unlock it i have another key and i replaced both batteries in both keys and only one is like that
Ugh. So apparently the former owner out in some ridiculous alarm system and the car randomly locks itself. The only way to use it again is to unlock it from the fob, which isn’t working, can’t connect it for some reason Fml

@@generationblood2752 Are you sure the 2032 battery you put in is installed correctly or is good? I did the trick with the lock and unlock and it worked for me.

If this doesn’t work, the other issues are likely the vehicle battery or the battery fuse that’s attached to the positive cable. I’d first start with the less expensive option which is removing and checking the battery fuse as a new one is about $30 at Auto Zone (you’ll likely visually see a break in the battery fuse if that’s the issue). It’s easy to remove and replace and if that’s the issue you’re on the road again in 20 minutes. Dealership will likely charge $75 for the part and $130 for an hour of labor. If that doesn’t work, it’s likely the battery.
I don't need a history on key fobs and when Julius Caesar decided Nissan should use them tell me about your favorite animal if you need to increase the length of your RU-vid video for monetization. It would at least keep someone interested.
Well my keyfob went dead just randomly and all i did is get in my car press the lock button to my start button and it re programmed itself none of this holding lock and unlock and this and that just simple lock button to the start button do not put your foot on the brake when you do this cause all it will do start your car ...your here to make your fob relearn the program.
How to start car with dead key fab?" Open fab and take out key to unlock door".............AND?...ALSO LATER IN VIDEO..= ME: "great..heres what i was looking for, how to start car with dead fab" again. VIDEO COMMENTATOR: "Stick key from fab in ignition while holding start botton and brake"....engine will stay on as long as button is depressed".....ME: "WHU..WHU..WHAT!?" " so i have to remain hunched over with my finger pushing in the button drving car so engine wont stop?!!!" what kind of Flintstone reality did i get warped into?...is it just me? Am i missing something or are everyone else scratching their head also?
