Just got me a black 2002 Nissan Maxima SE and everybody thinks I’m crazy for putting a lot of money into the car but I didn’t care and man this made me even more motivated to keep building it even more, very nice!
Watching this makes me miss my 2000 Maxima. It had the stock 3.0 and a 5 speed manual. Engine had a cold air intake and that was it. That thing would do 130 easily in 4th gear on the freeway. Watching this video makes me see what my car could have become but the transmission went out and i decided to sell it
Dope build, love that blue on the 5th gens. Swapping over all my goodies from my 97 max to my 99 i30 now. Max was rotted out, same situation lol. I’m tuned in, #JerseyStrong💪
To fix the rear wheel wells just get a set of front fender and criss cross them to the back and cut them to the size you need and weld them on and add brackets etc after. The fender from the front driver side is the same shape as the door ach over the reap passenger wheel. It will save you on custom making metal to fit and better than bondo. Just make sure you rust proof if not raptor line the fuck out the radiator support it rust first and kills the strength structure first especially on the 01's. Right now I'm considering to turbo mine and I think the best bet is to use the 350/g35 right manifold to power the turbo off the front bank. Also running dual exhaust out the left and right sides of the bumper. love your work.
@@XxIcybluexX oh yes 100% that’s the best way to go. With the rust. Besides replacing the entire quarter on each side my new car is completely POR15 and under sealed this time lol not playing no games
Who did your steering wheel it looks cold. Just can't hear the last part. I'm getting a sense of jealousy like I need to know what you do. What do you do for a living?
Keep the videos coming! Great information content! When you swapped the manual trans in did you run into "CHECK ENGINE" or any other electrical problems? I'm about ready to swap a 6 speed manual into my 05 Maxima.
No sir cuz my car from factory was already a 5 speed manual you will have a check engine light because your engine harness is from a automatic you would have to swap a manual transmission engine harness to eliminate the code
I have on 02 Maxima 6sp SE and I'm about to do a build on it as the motor is starting to go. But it has a few mods and was a screamer before the motor started loosing compression
Do the z seats swap directly over? Do you have to change the rail? I was thinking of changing my seats in my 04. Great content man. I just got a great deal on akebonos from a q50s and some base model z rims. I can’t wait to get them on lol
Yo I follow you on IG @jg.a33, nice to see this build progress. Really loved the progress of it. I also worked on my car in my driveway. Keep it up! 🔥🔥🔥💯
@@4DoorDave ya but even the vq35de on the g35 of 350z have a different style intake upper manifold no ? It looks so differe i love the look of the engine its weird
4DoorDave that’s the thing, Idk where to start. I don’t even think it’s worth it because it’s automatic and rusted. But it’s always fun working on a car that people sleep on.
@@4DoorDave sick.. Makes good power just saw the dyno. I have a green 5 speed 122k. Can I get your input on an NA build? How tough would it be to take out my heads in my driveway?? Found a couple shops to port and polish. Was thinking manifold, heads, cams, h pipe exhuast ( need to mod bumper to fit). What do you think? Maybe a gain of like 50-60 hp?
