VG33E is one hell of an engine .. one of the best nissan ever built, although its not the most empresive engin when it comes to stock horsepower output for its displacment .. Nonetheless 4 iconic things about it that i very much like :- self adjusting hydraulic followers valves forged steel connecting rods & the aggresive engine sound the single camshaft Produce Rumors has it it will run forever if you change the oil regularly . Mine is a living prove , runs like a tank in 2022 💪
Aug.1.2019 i brought it my other car was a lime only worked 3 day after purchasing. Had to junk it had to take the bus for 4 months 3 busses heading to work 4 heading be work everyday it was pissed bro
I have an 01 LE (VQ35DE) with 160k and it’s not too much faster than this… I’m impressed. I can certainly see where the VG is lacking in power compared to the VQ but considering what it says in paper that is very good. Also the VG sounds better than the VQ imo.
But I did notice that I have a coolant leak right under the wire harnesses and front but with fan at on top it's a little small hose I'm have to figure out how to reach it today and replace it
Ahhhh I remember my ol finder. There freaking tanks. Definetly not quick though lmfao. I kept up with everyone when I took it off roaring. Surprised the hell out of me at how good they are off road
@@Diabeetus. It's pretty pathetic but it's not going to throw you out on the street like many vq. It is vg is a hard engine to kill, little electronics and extremely reliable.
Merhabalar 2000 2001 model parfinder dusunuyorum ben de tavsiye edermisiniz daha once eski arabadan cok cektim korkuyorum açıkçası zirt pirt yolda birakicak diye
hakanerdogan111089 but I looks everything just like yours I had my truck since 2016 I just never had enough money to put it onto the road but I have a good paying job now so maybe a week from now I can get it on the road from the first time
Well the 4spd sucked keeping it in the power band lol. I had this in a 99 quest se and I would manually select thr gears 1 and 2 so I could rev it all the way out to redline.
I dunno if there's much of a difference but for some reason when comparing the video to my Infiniti QX4 from 97 (I know, basically the same car), mine seems to have a better 0-60. Weird shit
@@Atrium8640 to be honest I did'nt really understand the point of your question, why would an automatic transmission let the engine rev up till the limiter?
Yesterday when I was driving and I punch the gas is still at 30 like a second or two I released off the gas and push down on it again and then everything just went right on up
@@hakanerdogan111089 I do also have an engine check light what I can do is when I go outside to replace my coolant hose today I put a video up on my channel to explain it better than I can and when I put the video up I'll just let you know just suppress my thing so you can see it but I appreciate you taking the time out anyway I love that truck but I also have to change the spark plugs it's been in there maybe 10 years
@@hakanerdogan111089 hey I just put the video up on my channel when you get a chance can you check the diagnosis for me but I think it's just that leak must be air in the system it's been sitting 3 years only been driven for months
IKR its a lil slow getting to 60mph mines would humiliate this one, its not heavily modded either, just a K&N CAI, and a Super 44 Flowmaster 2.25 dual in and 3.5" in. straight out all the way back out to a 12in". L x 6in" diameter chrome tip, and just added a new air high flow low temp cooled radiator. its really quick!. love my 2004 Pathfinder LE Platinum ed w/3500VQ DE DOHC.
Lol theyre definitely no speed demons thats for sure. I have an 04 xterra with 171k on it and run just as strong. I just recently had an issue with it not running and acting like its out of fuel. Turned out to be distributor. We got the truck used but have put all of 100k on it. Not sure if and when distributor was done but have done valve cover gaskets and timing belt and water pump and now distributor. I have to change knock sensor at some point but in no rush to rip that intake apart yet lol
@@georgewkush542 I have not changed it yet. Does it actually work though because I've heard mixed reviews about it working sometimes and others not doing anything.
@@onrdetailingnews802 You outta your mind man no way in the world that crappy 3.3 VG or watever you call it will touch the 3500VQ DE DOHC (Direct Injection) they're almost the same engine that's in the 370Z, i bust 350z's all day long in my 2004 Pathfinder LE Platinum ed if you saw mine in action you'd think im farm truck except my R50 is so smooth looking.
@@occckid123 ive run my 02 frontier at wot 4800rpm in 2nd gear towing up to the Eisenhower tunnel for 10s of minutes at a time. You get up to 10 or 12 thousand feet and you have to run it at least that hard. Ps my truck has 160k on it and has been doing this for its whole life lol
