I did this job after doing a service on my car replaced the filter after watching your video don’t know why I was bothered about changing the filter like you said it is a very easy job to do but like you said people should buy a Nissan filter I did and spit on thanks buddy,
Hi 5 minute man, nice video. My fuel bulb had a mouse chew a hole in it, I have a new one and have fitted, but squeezing the bulb does not seem to pull diesel through. Any clues my friend? Stuart
@@fiveminuteman yes, I believe I have. Both ends have a one way valve ball and i have tested it with water and seems to pump ok. Is the fuel pumped to the filter, and then high pressure pump to cylinders? Ie, if I turn the engine over, should I see diesel come out of the filer connector pipe that connects to one of the fuel bulb pipes
I had hesitation in starting which I think was partially down to the fuel filter being not original leaking air also my glow plugs 2 were failed. Seems OEM fuel filters don't fit as tight as Nissan ones.
Hi there mate By the looks of it I’m having same problem with my qashqai 2013 with the original Nissan filter was starting perfect after I done the service I fitted the not original one and I can see that is struggling to start I think I’ll order a original one from Nissan and I’ll change again thanx for the video !!
Hello there. x tronic cvt transmission oil change does the authorized service offer? At how many thousand km does it need to be changed? There is a discussion here, the authorized service cvt says no oil change is required, but special service masters recommend changing it at 60 thousand km. What is the situation in your country? Can you give information?
Got a 2011 Nissan qashqai 1.5dci. The car is a pig to start only first thing in the morning, starts and runs fine throughout the day then once going. Battery was checked and fine…so guesssing I should try changing the fuel filter next?
I have a 1.5 dci and sometimes will start but then won't, cut out today while driving wouldn't start tried it again this evening and started, stalled it and it wouldn't re start. would this potentially cause that if faulty fuel filter? Only had car a month and its sluggish starter. Or should I check something else before dropping £50 on new filter.
Mate I have a 1.5 dci 2007 is there anyway to know whether I need the fuel filter with the water sensor attachment or without. Without taking it out first
Hi, My engine light came on yesterday, car is not accelerating that well, i guess "emergency mode" - I have a feeling for the fuel filter is blocked. Did you disconnect battery? I just wonder about pressure? or is it just "Pull/plug n' play"?
To be honest it's been the most unreliable car i've owned in 30 years. Rear inside parking brake exploded, windscreen wiper mechanism broke, windscreen wiper motor broke, sttarterr motor seized, crankshaft pully/harmonic balancer fell apart and aux belt fell off, turbo pressure pipe blocked, front suspension wishbones replaced,, rear handbrake shoes are £100 from nissan and needed as others wont work. The car is 2010, 124,000 miles. Never would buy another!😀
@@fiveminuteman wow that's not good at all haha I'm surprised as they have sold so many of them and they are so popular. Thanks for letting me know and great video BTW
Can't say the same myself, mines been super reliable not spent a penny on it other than general maintenance and service parts great car in my opinion. 2011 plate
Hello, have a 1.6dci qashqai. Changed the plugs and filter as was struggling to start. It has since been running and starting great for the last month. However it is starting to struggle to start again now.... Any ideas?
@@fiveminuteman cheers for the reply, much appreciated. Already changed the battery and the only error codes was on the glow plug heat before I changed the plugs but haven't checked again since. Will have another play at the weekend, cheers
I think it was the plugs, it's started fine ever since just had a bad start for a couple of days randomly. Cheers, saying that iv never actually found the priming bulb onit
the filter is empty after the change and has a thermostatic return valve witch is preventing from removing the air if you are priming it with all the pipes connected... So take out the return line coming from the diesel pump prime as needed and connected back to the filter as fast as possible not to let air back in ... This lack of care is one of the main enemy of the old Delphi injection systems! Take care!
Did it actually fix the cold start issue? I have a Nissan NV200 with same engine and same filter and got the same cold starting issue of longer than expected cranking time and lumpy idle for the first few seconds on cold start. I checked the glow plugs and they are fine so I'm thinking fuel filter next.
It did on my, also check for any air leqks in fuel lines around the filter. Try squeezing the fuel primer bulb before starting in the morning to seenif it starts better.
Get a mechanic to connect his ecu fault finder to do a diagnostic check to see if the glow plugs are functioning correctly. You can't detect some of these faults by just looking at the plugs. Tip : if you are in a breakdown scheme (AA, RAC etc) just move the car away from home (unless you've got 'home-start') and then turn them out saying the car won't start/warning light is on etc. They'll do a diagnostic check which will detect any faults or error codes...........It'll save you paying a garage to do the check & if you then take it in for repair you'll know what does & doesn't need to be done .
If you have just changed it then yes, but if you havent it its leaking then that isnt normal and needs looking at. The connectors i've found to be really good with no leaks.
@@fiveminuteman Unfortunately not possible. I am outside of the country where the filter was changed. I think to buy an original Nissan Qashqai fuel filter. The one that it is fitted now it is a "Mann WK920/7" one.
Hello, I had to disconnect on nissan qashqai 1.5 dci one of the fuel line to change the glow plug and now the car doesn't start and I think is because one Fuel line is without fuel, whats is the quick way to fix this ?
@@fiveminuteman because my socket wasn’t able to remove properly the glow plug. Yeah I suspect the air in the system, is that any way to remove air with the fuel pump for example?
@@fiveminuteman like the pump in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6qCAatKc7pQ.htmlsi=9Zz_UgK9pxveH8_d . I have disconnected only one fuel line, the metal one, not the rubber.
I changed the filter mate water in fuel light is on. I've read it's because the parts incorrect despite it appearing as correct on euro car parts any advice?
