I suppose it just shows how design and style are all very individual, I think it's a good looking SUV, I can't say I think it looks very generic like some say. Interior wise think it's looks pretty good too, also the infotainment system doesnt look too bad, does it? I think they have done well to create a car that does what they need it to do and sell by the bucket load. Shame I think the review was good but did seem a bit quick and missed out a lot of the spec list and finer details that Nissan have changed for this new model.
Technology for technology sake I think this is what is probably putting the price of cars up, how long till a Qashqai is classed as a luxury car being over £40k.
Oh really? Not fun of VAG products but you can't compare it to Audi. And to be honest even Skoda has better fit and finish. Going back to Nissan. Considering just the design I'd prefer previous generation with some updates.
The first thing he talks about is the design of the symbols on the touch screen. That is a mere detail. It's like going to a restaurant and talking about whether you like the curtains.
Not really, unless it’s a restaurant that you’re going to every day, where you have no option but to touch and stare at the curtains the whole time you’re there and over the course of 3-5 years they never change.
I agree 110% I think the design is fine, you don't want fancy looking graphics whilst driving, as long as it has all the features. The design is irrelevant
Needed the hybrid to be out at launch, that will be the game changer of the range if the emissions are as low as they should be its going to do well in the company car sector for those that can't afford an EV yet but are looking for something low in UK BIK tax. (why the RAV4 is doing well now)
Well I have just watched this video and the presentation is ok but he missed out a few things. Like the opening of the back doors the on front screen presentation so you don’t have to look down .
I hope they have finally illuminated all the window switches and generally improved ambient lighting . The above were my biggest dislikes from a 20133 tekna and 2016 tekna.
Qashqai wasn't the best seller because it was spectacular, but because it was one of the very rare ones back then..which certainly isn't the case any more. ...and I don't appreciate you comparing it only to german competitors, not mentioning french and other japanese ones.
Hey. I am waiting for my new 2021 tekna plus in September. I already watched lot of reviews and video's. But no body make video in night time. For bater look in night drive experience and interior lights, specially headlights. If is it possible please make one video for Nissan Fans. Thanks.
I'm waiting for mine too, as well in September. I hope we'll get it on time, because I suppose to have mine in August, but Nissan change it to September 😠
Looking good. A car I've avoided for a long time. Mainly due to being so many on the road but I have owned one now for nearly 3 years and love it. This new model is definitely on my list of potential new cars when the time comes for trading up.
Sorry guys, but for me Peugeot interiors look like some spaceship made in China. Too cheap and shiny. Not to mention the ridiculous steering wheel position.
You weren’t that clear whether u liked it or not. Your point of view was not as obvious as in the Hyundai Tucson apart from the fact that it’s better than the previous model. Should we avoid it? Shortlist it? Or buy it?
Picked up my Qashqai in July on a 22 Plate which has been tweaked by Nissan since the 21 plate it has the new Logo on it and better Infotainment system . has the electric boot which shuts smoothly with no problems so far so good.
"you might not know that by the end of its life [...] it was well off the pace compared to its best rivals". WhatCar 2 years ago: "If you want a family SUV, it should definetly be on your shortlist". How would we know?
We had this car as a 3 week rental during a recent vacation in Germany. I hated it. Spending hours at a time as a passenger, the seats are very uncomfortable, no liumbar support and the headrest is too far forward, leading to a unnatural position. Furthermore, the rear window is too smal and too high, making it feel like one is in a whole, again not good for sightseeing. The rental agency described the car as holding 5 passengers and 5 pieces of luggage. This might be true, id the luggage is 5 backpacks. We could only accomodate 5 persons or 5 pieces of luggage, not both. This led to some significant inconveniences.
I will test drive this because my Qashqai is 5 years old but I'm disappointed with the lack of engine choice. I fear it won't pull properly like a diesel.
Buy an EV then, they have insane amounts of torque. My LEAF drives like a sports car, is ultra reliable and cost all of £2.50 to fill up (cheap night tariff)
Growing up in the late 80s and early 90s, the blue interior won me over...a color that reminds me of the cars of my youth and isn't very popular these days. Refinement is great on the the latest Qashqai, more than many expect of a car of this class.
from what I know, they said that if you spec it with awd with wichever rim size OR fwd with the biggest 20 inches wheels, you get that multilink suspension... the problem is if you want that multilink but spec it fwd with 19 or lower size wheels... for sure multilink with fwd would be confortable and easy to maintain and run on bad roads...
Would I buy a brand new combustion car in 2021? Probably not, it’s fine now, but when I want to sell it on in 3-5 years time it’s value will be very low. I would consider a used combustion car, less depreciation, but this technology is already old school now, by 2025 it might provoke a laugh.
The exterior is as generic and nondescript as they come and while the quality of the interior looks decent enough its design is nothing to write home about. Overall this qashqai will become just an also-ran in the segment. The Ateca and the Tucson are two much better alternatives
Have just bought a 2019 Qashqai with the new 1.3 turbo engine. Has 158 bhp and is far from weedy. Most powerful 1.3 I have ever driven. Merc 'A' class has same engine.
Dated tech screen.. Nasty myriad of cheap looking buttons.. Dark plastic interior.. No hybrid model at launch.. Overstretched tiny engines.. Torsion beam rear suspension - that saves Nissan/Renault £50 and every driver had substandard suspension.. Who would spend money on this now?
