Top video on what, on the face of it, should be a simple task to complete. The softer foam edged filters are easier to fit. I found the cover would not stay on after replacement so I used some gorilla tape to keep it in place until the next time. If you are still struggling to refit your pollen filter, give your local gynaecologist a call 🤣 My thanks for your great video, I really appreciate the time and effort you have taken. You are a star.
Good video and I agree with all the moments about fitting. I have a four year old car and I don't think the filter has ever been replaced judging by the state of it. It has now because I spent the time to do it properly.
Mate...a massive massive thankyou for doing this video. I have the Nissan manual and could not make head nor tail of it. What a bastard job this is, I'll put a pound to a piece of poo that NO Nissan Technician has EVER replaced this filter on a service
Ripped mine apart trying to get it out. The new filter went in much easier as it had more flexible foam sides that were easy to compress. I could not get the cover to fit back on - it kept popping of no matter what I did. In the end I got a couple of screws and used the two screw holes that are positioned either side of the cover to secure it.
My filter looked similar to yours, it was in quite a state. I have fitted a new activated carbon filter using your example but also noticed there was another similar access door on the other side of the heater unit. Before I started I opened the door & I could not see any filter inside so just closed it, now after I fitted the new filter looking again through the opposite side access door I can see the end of the new filter. I guess this shows that my new filter is fitted correctly. So, the bottom line is to also open the flap/door at the opposite end of the heater & check your filter is visible.
This video make me realized that the first peace of plastic is missing from my car! Don't know the reason and who blame but is a peace you could not notice easily missing. Thank you for the instructions although
I tied a thin string around the filter with a slip knot horizontal to make almost a circle and it went in much easier , pulled the string out and it fitted almost by itself
Hi Just let you know if you do the same from the driver side is much easier and need not dismantle the cabin box etc. Just the same access flap. Like i understand that you want to check whether filter open up after instalation, you can open both side to ensure filter sit in properly.
Thank to this gentleman I already changed my car pollen filter whiteout pay any pounds for it, Nissan says that will cost me £190.99 , to regas de a/c system, new filter and stuff , but I said , so what if I do it myself, and yes i did it 😅
Yes my filter was exactly the same, obviously the service guys won't spend more than 30 seconds on this so they jam it in there. Initially I fitted mine the wrong way but then you can spin it 90° to get the proper fit.
In my 2016 J11, the underneath panel (at 0:45) is different and I was unable to pull it off, or remove the glove box.... However by feeling around with a torch and camera, and with some stretching and discomfort, I was able to reach in and skip to the part where you remove the filter cover (at 1:41).
Thats a ridiculous setup having the harch smaller than the filter. What a joke Nissan. I think they must have taken inspiration from VW who did similar on the Passat where the access was pointed at the floor so you had to crush/fold it in half to get in in or out. Thanks for the video 👍
Wymiana trwa 5 minut. Zdejmujemy tylko schowek, kupujemy filtr FILTRON K 1367A /harmonijka ułożona inaczej niż w oryginalnym, dzięki czemu łatwo się go wyjmuje i wkłada/. Pozdrawiam.
Hi, I don't have at the moment any j11 for rear brake pads but you can see similar job my other video's: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A_3QMMPsPs0.html Careful you working with brakes.
Holy lord. Poor show Nissan. Could this have been any more poorly designed. If this is the amount of trouble to go through to replace a simple Cabin filter...i dread to think what the oil filter change procedure is.
One of the stupidest ideas about one of the most important elements for our health in the car! It's hard to believe it's an idea of Japanese engineering.
Great video, /thank you so much! But Gosh.....Nissan this is absolutely pathetic.....Now I understand the guys from the service why they didn't want to talk too much when I asked them - "How was my pollen filter?" !
