I'm on my third new qashqai and I'm totally sold on them. I can honestly say I've never had a problem of any sort with any of them. In early September we took our +2 to the Gorge du Verdun in southern France and observing all speed limits and admittedly sticking to around 70 -75 mph the computer told us that the car was returning 58.9 mpg. I had zero-ed the setting a couple of weeks before the trip and this included a week after as I was collecting my new qashqai on return to the UK. The new qashqai we collected is absolutely superb, it has exceeded my expectations, reeks quality and is full of useful gadgets that make driving really enjoyable and fun. Having owned so called "premium brand" German cars and felt ripped off with expensive and sometimes outrageous servicing costs I see no point in ever owning one of those again, having reached almost 70 years of age I don't need to "brand brag". I think I'll get up now and go for a drive, just for the fun of it😊.
Jack, mate..I totally get you!. Three days ago I bought my SECOND Qashqai, I can honestly say..I 've never had a problem of any sort with my previous one either. I had it 5 years and traded it in for this new model. ACENTA PREMIUM, it's AWESOME. Over the past years, I have bought 5 new cars...well in all honesty, the previous Qashqai that I had was really reliable no problem whatsoever. I have been driving the new model these past days and really loving it. Fuel consumption FANTASTIC. The only drawback is that It does not have central locking as the previous one!! Is there any way I can install central locking. It feels safer when you lock from the inside..never know whats lurking from the outside. Take care Jack and enjoy the new Qashqai mate.
Second Tekna , haven’t missed a beat , comfortable, smooth, reliable , fabulous interior, down lanes can be thrown around like a hatchback, eats up the miles on motorways, yes I am biased, because l have had many cars over my lifetime, I find this car the best all rounder , and the driving position superb for seeing the road ahead, and the parking cameras / sensors , mean no problems parking,
I bought the new model a few days back...AWESOME . This is my second Qashqai. It's a reliable car and most importantly manufactured in the U.K. Any new buyers who are thinking about this car GO BUY IT..YOU WON'T REGRET IT. I have the diesel and fuel consumption is GREAT.
What a refreshing change! This car is , after all, aimed at families so the video ticks all the relevant boxes...and adds a travelogue of interest too.
Ive heard a lot of horror stories about the Qashqai - it develops lots of mechanical and electrical faults. In fact, Google is littered with stories of owners who wish they'd never bought one due to its unreliability. As someone who is thinking of getting one, its frustrating that Ive yet to find a single professional review of the car that points out these problems. Can Auto Trader or any RU-vid viewers who own a Qashqai, comment? Thanks!
I don't know if it is less reliable than any other car. It is a top seller so there are loads on the road compared to most cars. Since 2007 there have been 250k sold in the UK alone. Is the percentage of problems the same as other vehicles is the question. The more of something, the more quantity there will be with defects. You will see every brand have problems such as Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Totota, Ford etc... the next question is, how much are running costs? My bro in law has a Mercedes E Class. Servicing is £450 and if there are problems, then ouch... Nissan has a fee of £159 if I am correct. Overall I suspect that the 'littered' stories are relative when millions have been sold world wide. We must remember that people are more likely to create threads or complain when something is wrong rather than give compliments.
Ive had mine for two and half years. There is a stop start fault which the manufacturers are aware of however i dont use this feature. Besides that the car is fantastic and really good to drive. I use it for work and its also the main car for family trips recently done 270 miles in 24hrs and its comfortable. I have 1.6 petrol 2015 plate.
+Hollis Wong No. It is one of the video formats we produce that is intended to be more lifestyle orientated. We have to clearly label sponsored content when it appears in the channel, which it does from time to time.
