I have been driving one with a limited at around 7000-7500rpm, and I never expect it because I'm used to higher rpm rb20det. Whenever that limiter comes it is VIOLENT lol, just like this. The video doesn't do the sound justice when it hits top.
@@Michael-jq5pf yeah my buddy has an RB20 that he hits limiter on very regularly at like 7500, very nasty, I do not redline my RB because I dont want to break the oil pump gears or crank collar, but It sings up past 6k, I usually shift right before 7k :)
@@Michael-jq5pf my mate put a rb20det in a SSS pulsar that had a stock engine to get it through customs and that thing had around 220kw fwd in the early 2000s it was a ball bustter in third.
@@DriftNick I wasn't aware stock RL was higher on rb26. I know I had the cut set pretty low in my 26 but I hadn't owned a stock one for comparison and didn't care enough to look it up 😂 good to know. Love my 20 still, plenty of fun in the right chassis
@@bugattieb110ss group A rally cars were as good as Group B mate, especially the end of the group A era at total war against the new Kit cars class from french manufacturers
The coolest part is dancing with the Kyoseki R32 Group A car. Not sure if I am correct this Calsonic car don't seem to have the orignal Gr A transmission or the original Reinik engine setup?
The GTRs here in Australia had different transmission to the original Japanese ones too. They had 6 speed Hollinger here. Also larger brakes and wheels. By 1 inch
Check out the footage from 2020 Goodwood Festival of speed. The exterior camera footage is wild! Final run boost is turned up, car makes 1000hp or so and slides at every apex It's mental. Have a go. Cheers
@@CCP_zhongguo_sai_B In its defence, that is a difficult track for passing. Not taking anything away from the Merc or BMW those cars are legendary as are the drivers. But man those times were the best races.
Was the race car at minimum car weight with no weight penalties like the cars were getting in the early 90s, it would be cool to see them racing at legal weight without restrictions
@@ricwoodmotorsport Very nice, we don't have many race prepped Skylines here in the United States. However a historics racing team recently bought three Nismo R34s and currently races one here in Historic Sportscar Racing. The GT500 class JGTC cars are quite fast. Only one 1971 GTR here as well. Be a treat to see a Group A R32 visit here stateside.
@@ricwoodmotorsport You'd love Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta then. 2.54 mile road course with elevation changes and twelve turns. It's best known as the circuit for the IMSA ten hour endurance race known as the Motul Petit Le Mans. My home track. Always wanted to photograph a Group A R32 GTR.
Woooooo man it was getting light there in a couple corners!? Mine is still super OEM but is becoming a racer more and more. I can’t imagine it at this level!?
This one isnt restricted or limited to ~600hp, it can run up to over 1000hp when they want. Theres a goodwood video on this car, worth a watch. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7iF--AheRm8.html
