Hey thanks for watching. I couldn’t find a good video explaining the steps so I decided to make one myself. I’m glad it helped. Good luck on your sons car, it isn’t a hard job just take it slow and you’ll get it done!
Thanks for this video brother. I just completed a fan replacement on my 2015 versa hatchback. Took me about 3 hrs, but I'm very slow and methodical when working on my own car. I took about 25 pictures on my phone ever step of the way. Just in case anyone is wondering, I managed to complete the repair without draining the anti-freeze or removing the reservoir. It was slightly more of a pain in the ass at one point, but I think it's doable. I was kind of gambling that it was the fan motor. I couldn't get a multimeter down there to check to see if I had 12V coming in at the harness, but I knew the relay and fuse were good. The weird glitch that made me gamble on the fan is that I turned on the car, maxed the AC, and then tapped on the motor housing (fairly hard,) when I did that the blades moved just a little bit. Car off, tapping on the housing, the blades don't move at all. This morning, when I got the old fan out, I ran 12V directly from the battery into both wiring harnesses (blue is +) and it didn't move at all. Totally screwed. everything good now, thanks again!
Hey thanks for watching! I’m happy to hear my video helped you! I found a lot of videos but none of them ever showed me how to install they had to much talking and not enough showing and that’s why I created my video so thanks dude! 👍🏽
My brother.... mad props to you for making this video. Very well explained for the regular Joe like me. Took me a little bit, but I got it. Thanks a bunch!
Hey thanks for watching! I couldn’t find any good videos explaining the entire process so I decided to do it myself to help others like me. Happy to hear it helped and good job getting it done. Hope you subscribe!
Hey thanks for watching and subscribing I really appreciate it! Happy to hear my video helped! It’s a pretty easy job so you should have no issues! Good luck 👍🏽
hey man great vid. good job showing the ins and outs. you need someone to invest in a shop for you. i would but the pandemic cost me too much already. keep goin😃
Hey thanks for watching! I pray your bouncing back from the pandemic and I’m working on getting a small garage/storage unit to work out of thanks for the encouragement. I hope you subscribe!
Do you have another link for the fan. Looks like the one in the description expired. I bought an aftermarket fan from advance auto but it was way too small. Hoping to not make that mistake again
Hey thanks for watching. Sorry about the link I just put another one that works and according to Amazon it should be an exact fit. Let me know if it worked for you and hope you sub to the channel.
Hey thanks for taking the time to comment. Yes the process is similar you just have a few more steps to get the radiator out. Thanks for watching and hope you sub to the channel.
You don’t have to remove the hood lock or the clips that attached the cable and you don’t have to remove the airbag just swing the bracket to the drivers side ounce the bolts are removed
I don't think my fan is working. The only time it gets hot is running it parked. I never seen the fan on. I'm probably in denial. The A/C blows cool when it wants. Anyways thanks for the video
Hey thanks for watching! You can actually test the fan to see if it works. You can either wire it straight to the battery or disconnect your thermostat to see if it comes on. I have a video on diagnosing the fan for a Honda but the process is the same. Check it out on my page!
@@kaylonmyers7659 sorry to hear that the good thing is that this fan replacement does not effect your car starting. Make sure your battery is connected and check to see that you did not disconnect any other wires by mistake while working. You could have a possible bad battery or starter but I’m banking on battery. Also check your fuses because if you did not disconnect the battery before working you could have blown a fuse.
Hey thanks for watching! You have to hold the tab down with one hand then pull it apart with the other kinda like wiggle it as you do! Hope this helps!
It's a pain in the ass. inspect the harnesses on the replacement fan and you should get a better idea of how to do it. It literally took me 15 min to remove both harnesses, but i managed to do it non-destructively.
Hey thanks for watching! I felt the same way when I was doing this repair job so that’s why I made the video to help anyone that doesn’t feel confident and to show them they can do it!
