Nisyros is a volcanic Greek island located in the Aegean Sea. It is one of the most popular excursion places mainly from the island of Kos, which is located in the north. On the island you will find the picturesque town of Mandraki with an ancient fortress in which there is a male monastery and especially a beautiful view of Mandraki. The main destination for all visitors is the crater of the volcano stefanos and the village of Nikia with a beautiful church and a view of the whole crater Stefanos. Another beautiful view of the crater is from the village of Emporios, where you can have lunch at the local tavern Balcony or visit the port of Pali with lots of taverns and beautiful sandy beach.
