bought a nitecore off Amazon for nearly fifty bucks a few months back.. I wanted to like it being my first with a USB recharge and a red led but unfortunately the cheap plastic hinge just flops down and renders it absolutely useless as a headlamp. I'm thinking about gluing it using velcro to permanently hold it in position.

My stream light sidewinder has been exceptional but I need something a lil brighter for my runs.

Why didn’t they make the NU33 multi fuel. I like carrying non rechargeable lithium AAA,AA batteries when camping. Seriously though. One set lasts for 3 weeks of use. At home one set lasts for months of use. Having one rechargable battery that comes with it is awesome. I’d buy one extra rechargeable pack. I’m gonna get the UT 27 for now. And they all need to come with a flashing red light and white light . Flashing red is to get people with seizure problems to buy them. It slightly lowers chances of causing a seizure. I agree with you totally on the low output indoors. I think a more natural yellow light brings out more color. Blue light monotones everything. Washes the colors out. It’s really good for picking up highly reflective materials like stripes on jackets for search teams on the plus side

Agreed. I really like the ut27 for its multi fuel. I also like a high cri (low kelvin) light but the ut27 is really yellow.

There is a direct access to red by holding down the mode button.

a low lumen outdoor light, why?
@livingsurvival
@livingsurvival Год назад
700 is low lumens? It’s quite high for a headlamp.

Try reading a map with a 1k lumen light, you'll understand why low modes are a good thing.

@@Jedwoods Try being visually impaired and doing anything with 1 lumen. Welcome to my world.

@@TopDog8762I understand you may not want a low lumen setting in a headlamp, but I find it useful and it can make or break my decision on buying a light.

how are the tilting steps on that flashlight? i bought a few months ago a HA23 and it was either too high or too low. it needed more tilting steps (to match my heigh, i presume). never had that problem with Fenix or Nebo (i own a LedLenser with "infinite" steps too).
