You actually had something stuck in your eye and used a sharp object to get it out?!?!?!!!! 3:43 next item which is some of these little 3:46 gum floss picks again nothing is worse 3:50 than getting something stuck in your eye)
I prefer the Ranger Grip 79 with the corkscrew loaded with a tortoise gear fire kit. Corkscrew is also excellent for getting knots out of bank line or paracord.
I think knives are only ment to be cutting tools. And, if you are going to split logs, dig, saw or cut down trees, there are tools made for that. When in need of abusing a knife byt showing it in a tree, baton or pry, then hope it will not break and expect it to be the last time you use it, in very desperate situation it would be obviously. The Laps, Saamis, mostly use a 8inch blade 3.2mm thick (a Leuku knife), with are a triangel rat tang mostly, and has done it for over millenia. The have also a smaller knife called "Lilla Niibi", (Puuko in Fnish, only means knife though). Leukus are used as a machete, rain deer big bone splitter, and also sometimes for batoning, without an issue, cutting down small trees etc, all with a thin "normal high carbon steel". Also trappers and bushmen of USA and Canada only used small or longer thinner blades. Where they not capable of forging thick and heavy stupid small swords to drag in the wilderness? Yes, although they needed a big tool, the didn't use knives for that. They had axes and other adapting equipment. You use a knife with brain nod force, there are other tools for hard use. Be safe in the woods, and dont be stupid and spend unnecesary on no needed weapon/tools. There are small good quality blades out there being honest in their prices also. And this EKA is just on the sweet spot of what is mostly neede in a survival and bush situation. And my kind of Leuku from Laponia, by JT Knivar.
The almighty opus i like the fact it not only tells u whats actually happening with your charging cells but it also has the discharge refresh feature which is very rare in a charger
Thanks for great presentation, have you using it some longer? What are your experiences with cooking and eating from an aluminium dishes? Have you comparing it to Trangia cookset maybe? Thanks 👍🏼
Yeah! Someone who finally mentioned a light and mirror. Most 1st aid kit videos fail to include those items. I’d iPad if you are in a hot environment, add some chemical cold packs.
Bought the fire ant and the fire steel came loose from the plastic corkscrew piece . Good idea but they are too expensive for what it is in my opinion .
Baofeng F22.I connected a 2-pole wired microphone. The PTT button of the device was disabled, but the mini microphone does not work. Is there a menu setting?
I carry the surge because the wave seems too small for my hand and I want more leverage. That might be the one advantage the wave has with having a fixed saw: scraping a ferro rod. But I imagine you could get the same effect with the awl on the surge
awesome looking knife. man, the screw heads look tacky AF, though. In general, I dislike the philips head screw. The last place I want to see it is on my knife... If I get one of these, I would definitely be swapping those out, haha.
Your video is very useful, and the best thing is to show the pliers in use, because the other people who made videos about this multitools just talk, talk, talk, blah, blah, blah! Because that's the point here, to show the pliers, because that's the point of the SOG multitools, otherwise I would have bought a Swiss army knife without pliers!🙃
I had one that I used for years. For convenience and also to balance my backpack and bring some weight to the front, as I have a bad back. Just recently gave it to my nephew. I was never comfortable wearing it without a jacket cos I'm a female with a heavy chest and the straps used to really announce that so I was very conscious and uncomfortable with that. Otherwise, it fit all the gear I'd need convenient access to around camp or when we went for a walk or hunt, and also reduced weight on my back. Very practical front pack.
When I heard the last knife called the "Chad Los Baños" knife I thought, "Wait a minute...the "Chad The Bathrooms" knife?! Ya never know! The video chapter says "Chad Los Lobos," but Blade HQ does indeed sell "Chad Los Baños" knives, haha!
i see there is some flex in it, knife moves a little, that will make the angle a bit inconsistent. had that problem on another cheap sharpener. will look for a better setup, thanks for the video :)
"The 4 or 5 bucks these cost..." I just bought a 3 pack for $26. They're extremely useful but obscenely overpriced. True to the Victorinox spirit, I guess. The second a Chinese manufacturer puts these on Amazon at 10 for $5, this company is toast.
This looks great but isn't there a risk of contaminating the tube? Like if the bladder is dripping wet because you dunked it in the water source, won't that get onto the tube and into your water bottle? Just wondering how that's prevented.
I did a full cycle of having: - A crappy gathered-end hammock - A haven tent - A draumr amok 5 - A good, long gathered end hammock with an integrated ridgeline And although I loved the comfort of laying in the haven tent and especially in the draumr, I am sticking to my cheaper, lighter and more reliable choice - the good gathered end and a tarp. I got the pad of the haven fail on me, making it useless, and I have gotten soaking wet in a draumr in a storm, just because draumr acts like a giant funnel bringing every drop of water under your butt.
My only gripe is how large the collars are. There is definitely some performance aspect to that design with sun protection but there are still a lil too oversized
