Nitrado almost ruined ASA - But we were lucky 

It wasn't that Nitrado suddenly just had a change of heart about the servers. It was outrage from the community. As far as I can tell @NeddyTheNoodle was the tip of the spear in that effort. Glad you were able to get on your server and hope you get some sleep and/or coffee soon :)

lucky my a$$ they were lucky people didnt pull up anchor and abandon the game. I work with a very large marketing team at work. You get one chance with some people to make a impression.

We need to keep the pressure up. Keep Nitrado and Snail accountable. We NEED to have freedom of server providers! We have won the battle, but not the war, yet.

This whole debacle is a perfect example of the hard work and passion of devs being betrayed by incompetent businessmen pushing gamers past their breaking point. I'm honestly astonished that ASA is as functional as it is given the conditions Wildcard had to deal with, but of course Snail and Nitrado's mismanagement and greed had to sour the whole launch for everyone. I'm still hopeful for the future of the game, but yikes, the present looks grim. Thank you for your coverage and explanation of all the chaos.

Monopolize the management of servers can only be understood if you provide a fair and efficient service, not just because of a desperate agreement, the entire situation doesn't motivate Nitrado to offer a decent server support if they have no competition, because they cannot be replaced. In most work environments if you are incompetent someone more capable takes your place, but in this situation devs ended up in a trap between the publisher and Nitrado, there was no need for a 1-year commercial hype building up tons of expectations to end up in a rushed release, of course it causes a high percentage of disappointments. This era of "early access" games is starting to become frustrating, they give you hope and crush it themselves, it's not always about players being spoiled and feeling entitled, it's them making huge promises as a fishy way to ask for money, a more realistic approach is a lot less disappointing because the community doesn't feel disrespected. This same game would have been welcomed a lot better without so much hype and unfair marketing campaign, because we know that bugs happen and will be discovered throughout the gameplay experience.

I feel your pain and disappointment. Really glad they sorted the server situation. Happy arking. As a console player I'm still raging as were delayed.

Please post a video on how to show dedicated sessions by selecting "Show Player Servers" so player servers can show up in the list. I have a dedicated server but it doesn't show in the list if this option is not selected. Some of the most popular hosts are there and it's sad to see them fade away. 😞

i dont understand why every1 talk about nitrado, dude it is all about wildcard fault, it is not just today, it is about 5 years, all on wildcard's fault, wildcard ruined the ARK, ppl speak to like if nitrado gone then everything will be fine but let me tell you ARK is not fine, ARK is toxic, cheating, lagging and ark dose have many more problems, i say fuk to wildcard
