You’re channel is underrated in the diesel field. Your knowledge of the racing side of things and openly explaining it to everyone is something most big rollers in the industry has kept as secrets,or either don’t explain near as well as you. Keep it up man! We appreciate the informative content !
You're doing great with this RU-vid thing, Logan. In no time, your channel will blow up and get the views, recognition and following it very well deserves. The wealth of knowledge and how you explain everything so simply is quite impressive. Hope you and your fam had a great Christmas and New Year. Stoked for more content!
Glad you covered it, I have lots of experience on gas engines, I guess the one thing you didn’t cover that might help guys is lowest rpm to spray nitrous.
can you run a spool jet before a water to air intercooler or will it freeze the water. I normally run anifreeze in my intercooler at 50/50 but I'm getting ready to add a spool jet and maybe a second kit . I mud race and our run is over at 200 feet
Flow is the issue. A nitrous bottle is not being fed pressure by an outside source such as a pump. You only have the volume & pressure that is in the bottle. The flow & pressure decreases as you begin to use the nitrous. If you put a regulator on it and compensated with a larger get that would work on the initial opening of the solenoid but as the pressure began to decrease your regulator would become a restriction. This is the reason that pro nitrous racing cars don’t even use a quick disconnect fitting on the bottle. There can’t be any restriction or regulation before the jet.
Isnt propane (maybe along with water injection) used as a diesel version of Nos injection? (I read about it in a 4Wheeler magazine maybe 25 years ago).
Ehhh bit different, with propane you are not adding any extra oxygen so unless you are already running lean on straight diesel you wont get as big a boost. Water methanol injection can overcome some of that because methanol is an oxygenated alcohol. Nitrous alone you are just adding a ton of extra oxygen but without extra fuel to burn you won't achieve much
