People would work more and harder for the same low salary,the stores were empty.food was rationed and cheap.the factories were becoming outdated technologically and by the time Romania became the first debt free country,in early 1989, people excpected things to go back to normal,but the president kept the things going as they were and by the end of the year he would of been taken down and shot as the people have had enough
