I gotta lay this out so I understand - to the fans that want to keep the 10th overall this year…in the last 10 years: 2014-15 - Devils finish 25th 2015-16 - Devils finish 20th 2016-17 - Devils finish 28th 2018-19 - Devils finish 28th 2019-20 - Devils finish 26th 2020-21 - Devils finish 29th 2021-22 - Devils finish 28th 2023-24- Devils finish 24th Here is my question : how many more high 1st round picks do you guys want? We have enough kids on this team, what we lack is experience/grit/size. Win now is in effect, there is no other option. Gotta take advantage of this stretch of time, last year was supposed to be 1 of these early window years & look how quickly it spiraled. Coaching looks good. Stole a goalie & used the discount to pay Macdermid who will protect the kids. Add tough defense, and a quality forward like Brady Tkachuk or a Stamkos to your point.. I mean sky is the limit Let’s go Devils 😈

Ace we can’t do mercer, Casey and nemec for Brady so let’s talk about a realistic deal. I’d gladly do roster players seigenthaler and Holtz, prospects- stillman, vilen, gritsyuk, edwards and either daws or shmid, a 1st and 3rd this year, a 2nd and 4th next year and our 2026 1st. In other words I’ll give everything but find away to keep Casey, nemec and Mercer 😂

Defensive guys: NIKITA ZADOROV (UFA), BRETT PESCE(UFA), JAMIE OLEKSIAK(TRADE), BRAYDEN MCNABB(TRADE) Offensive bottom 6 guys: YAKOV TRENIN(UFA), WILLIAM CARRIER(UFA), BRANDON TANEV(TRADE) Guy to Play alongside Jack Hughes: PATRICK LAINE(TRADE) Thoughts on these players?

What a job by fitz, Bahl was awful last year, getting beat in the boards, turnovers in the defensive zone, etc. I think we need a couple of defenseman with some muscle. Hughes, Nemec, Hamilton, Marino are not physical enough.

I agree with most of what you say on your show but I am an analytics guy. I feel Brady Tkachuk could have higher stats but he is a well rounded hockey player and he does not specialize in one area. With him the Devils become insanely good. However, if they give up too much and tkachuk gets injured Calgary gets next year’s #11 pick. Perhaps they should keep the depth and make a tkachuk with several players. Just a thought, this is no disrespect to your Devils prowess.

Devils should pursue Rasmus Andersson. I’d consider using the #10 pick to trade for him with 50% retained and a higher level pick in return

I'm telling you guys you have to give a serious look at Santeri Hatakka. Nothing but upside with this kid. Smooth and steady. He's ours now and nothing but upside with this kid.

Jonathan Marchessault, Conn Smythe Winner so much playoff experience him and Haula and Palat on a line would be deadly

We didn't rob Calgary. Better trade than we all were worried it would be, but Calgary got a 1st and a 23 year old Defender entering his 2nd full season.

I am sure the owners told Fitz this: This season was pitiful! You did not do your job, and now we have a record drop off in season tickets! Do you job, or you'll be out of one.I like the resigning of Mac. We need that enforcer. Signing Markstrom with some salary retention in exchange for Kevin Bahl was a steal. Yeah Bahl was big, but he was soft. Now we have a roster spot open to get a defensemen that is nasty. And we have an extra $2 million in cap space to do it. I have mixed feelings about Keefe, but he at least has consistently gotten his team to the playoffs. I think he has potential. Yeah Fitz is definitely on the road to redemption. I think you’re crazy to not want to make the no. 10 pick. This draft has the potential for very talented players to slide because there’s some obnoxiously tall mid players on the board. We could get a solid player on a rookie contract when our cap is tight in a couple years
