What a fascinating adventure!The Nkhatabay episode took me back home and and am going next year. I love the way your kids embraced every place you travelled to. I was there in December of 2018 and it was one of my favorite places to visit. I did the boat 🚢 trip on lake Malawi 🇲🇼 and its a beauty to behold. I returned to USA 🇺🇸 and told all me friends its a place to visit.

@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders I really enjoyed every moment of my stay in Malawi 🇲🇼. It also gave me a new perspective on life. I concluded that things do not always make you happy. I saw kids with very little but there was such joy and peace and happiness. I plan to visit with my kids so they can see 👀 how much they take for granted.

I was born in Malawi but it was called Nyasaland then (showing my age). I can truthful say one of the most beautiful places to have the privilege to be born in and grow up in. Even now after all these years I get homesick especially during the English winters! I guess you can take the person out of Africa but you can never take Africa out of the person.

Aww, I love this! I stayed at Mayoka Village in 2003 when I worked in Lilongwe for VSO. Magical memories of lying in a hammock reading a book, and awesome showers under the stars ♥️

Perhaps I'm a tad over protective, but I wouldn't let my children swim in a lake known to have crocodiles. If there's a regularly attended dive spot, one would think crocodiles would consider that their picnic area.
