On September 21st - September 23rd Nickel Plate Road 765 pulled the first weekend of the Steam in the Valley trips on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. This video features shots of the locomotive starting from Rockside Station all the way down to Akron Northside Station with 765 on the point. In this video there are both shots taken from trackside from all 3 days and from on board the NKP open air car I rode on the Sunday morning trip. A video of 765 photo run-bys at Boston Mill will be posted this week. Thanks for watching and hope you all enjoy the video.

I know both of those former Nickel Plate cars are owned by Cleveland terminal and valley railway inc., But i really think the ftwrrhs should purchase both of them and use them for future 765 excursions. Also the ftwrrhs should repaint the tool car to the bluebird scheme of the NKP streamliners and letter the aux tender with NKP gold lettering so it matches the tender. Furthermore, there's an old NKP heavyweight dining car stored in alamosa co, on the San Luis and Rio Grande. I think they should buy it, rebuild it, paint it in the bluebird scheme and use it on ferry runs.

Both of the former Nickel Plate cars behind no. 765 are owned by the Midwest Railway Preservation Society in Cleveland, OH, and I don’t think either of them are for sale. Both cars are apparently haunted, especially car no. 62 (the dark green one).

I know, but it would be cool if they did accompany 765 on ferry runs in the future. And i wish they would letter the auxiliary tender Nickel Plate Road instead of just being plain black.

Nice video. Which run did you ride? I'm 99% sure thats my son poking his head out the widow at 17:54 (green shirt, CVSR engineer hat)

Yup that’s him then. Didn’t even notice you were recording. That’s good, the car host last year wasn’t very happy that I kept filming out the window.

Nice video! I'm going up to film tomorrow, where is the best place to film in Peninsula?

K9Nick811 I filmed in Peninsula just south of the last grade crossing on a little dead end road. The depots nice but you need to get there early to park.

1551 should visit the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad or Strasburg Railroad.
