Over Memorial Day weekend of 2017 N&W 611 pulled a series of half day excursions. This video stars 611 on the head of the Pocahontas. The train ran from Roanoke to Radford where the train was turned on the wye. This trip challenged the 611 as she faced Christiansburg Grade in Shawsville. You'll also see her emerging from Montgomery Tunnel and passing under the old coaling depot in Vickers. Another highlight of this video is of 611 running westbound side-by-side with a NS freight on the Sunday trip. So please enjoy The Queen of Steam as she runs on home rails.
