My Avast program said on one of my computers that it blocked a port scan attack. Not my main one but another one. Not sure if it's a false flag or not but what would be the smartest way to prevent that or make it harder for someone trying to find their way in? I'm a huge novice lol
Unless you're running servers (like web servers or SSH servers) on your kali linux, all 1000 ports would be closed. You need to run it against a server to get open ports. At the moment, basic.schuetzler.net is up and you can run nmap on that to see some open ports.
