I see a Heisman Trophy and statue next to Spurrier, Wuerfel & Tebow going up. Add this guy to a top 10 recruiting class and Gators are on there way back.
@@stefanodenton1900 hopefully he can persuade some other recruits to end up at UF instead of UGA. Lol I think this kid will change the game for UF in the coming years
You can see the growth in pocket presence and awareness throughout the highlights. He had a tendency early in the season to bail on a clean pocket, but not later in the season. Progression!
It's interesting, a lot of his throws seem like "bad mechanics," but they really look like those gamer-mode Mahomes type of reaction throws when his body sees an open receiver and just wants to release the ball as quickly as possible.
Great reel, many thanks for putting this up. DJ Lagway has difference maker written all over him. I hope it all comes together for him sooner rather than later. GG!
@@coreyparker4320at least if we go undefeated we will get into the championship no doubt, your schedule is so soft every year that they picked the PAC 12 over you😂😂😂😂🤡
What I like is when his first read is covered, he still looks to throw the ball instead of taking off. This is difficult for a dual threat QB to learn. It's also obvious he's a man playing with boys. Lets see how he looks at the next level but all the signs point to Heisman. Thanks for the Video!
Hopefully the gators get few 5 star OL to protect lagway imagine DJ with a clen pocket and time execute the play this kid is absolutely dangerous.. most these highlights his o line gives him no time and still did amazing this kid future Heisman trophy winner in my opinion gators by a million
@@__G___ At least he signed. Maybe he's gone in 1 year or maybe he needs 3 to develop into an NFL QB. Whatever. I forgot how fast the landscape of college football has changed.
Looks good. Word of caution though. He looks awfully thick for a HS Senior. Hopefully not, but there is a danger of this evolving into a JaMarcus Russell situation. Most guys gain 20-30 lbs between 18 and 22, so he will have to really work to keep his weight down.
This dude is very similar to Jayden Daniels. Definitely a more accurate passer than Anthony Richardson but probably not as athletic. Should be a really good QB for my Gators!
He’s coming to Florida he’s had his mind made up since 9th grade he’s also signed and was at UF over the weekend and did the pledge he’ll be a gator lol if you can’t see that I’m sorry
His strides are too long to be an explosive runner in the nfl, he won’t be able to get to top speed in time. He better be a prolific passer if he wants to be top 5 draft pick material.
Arm talent and throwing motion are two completely different things his arm talent is is very high and also his mechanics are not close to as bad as tebows
@@johntrucano8186 Believe what you want. He needs serious work and it's hard to get out of bad habits this late. His arm is not very strong and he lacks mechanics. He may be serviceable but people hyping him up are gonna be dissapointed. I think he's a less talented Anthony Richardson.
@@SheepEatingDuckhis arm is plenty strong but agree some mechanics rework is needed for in the pocket (he’s an elite off platform thrower and that’s just natural, you don’t change that). Will have to see him read the field more and stay disciplined. A lot of this backyard football shit will not work for the most part in college. For all of Billy’s flaws, he usually has good evals. We’ll see
