Lovely locomotive!! Sadly, it would never work on my layout!! I run a layout called both Yealmington and Walmington-on-Sea. It’s a Dad’s Army layout with a working Jones the Butcher van as well as running trains. Please note that Walmington-on-Sea and Yealmington are both the same place in West Sussex.
Hi yes I’ve noticed they’ve got some fantastic prices in these now. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Keep safe and well my friend Andy
a very good price for a very nice 73👍, i have two dapol 73's fitted sound to both (esu locsound v5) and love em but they run like ,(dont want to swear), so dont get much use, my only other dapol's are 121/122's which also are very poor runners with dapol imperium decoders, and after replacing the drive shafts half a dozen times remain in my dapol 'to be fixed' siding🤔 all the best and hope you have many hours of fun with your 73 sir👍👍
Hi Andy, great honest review of a loco I’d like to have in Network Rail yellow livery, the only place you can get one is from Olivia Trains because it’s an exclusive model made for them, I’ve seen way too many bad reviews of this loco, for £164 Olivia Trains have a good stock of the loco but have never put that particular livery in a sale in the past 3 plus years, it’s a premium price on a popular livery, not even Dapol have any Network rail yellow livery models which is a shame, I hope another manufacturer produce the class 73 in the future without the issues this Dapol model comes with, the Hornby model class 73 is a Railroad model in which I’m not a fan of, thanks for sharing.
@@MarchWestJunctionTMD You’re very welcome mate, by the way did you get a chance to purchase the Accurascale first come first served RTC livery coach pack? Accurascale claim they care about the hobby and the modellers needs, as time goes on it’s starting to sound like a sales pitch, I’m not knocking their ability as a manufacturer I’m just amazed that some of their products are mega popular but produced in very small amounts, it’s like being teased! They will get a backlash eventually.
Hi Mate, thanks for staking the time to watch and comment. The shop is well worth a visit. They have a lot of stock a really good prices Keep safe and well my friend Andy
Next time I’m heading down from Scotland 🏴 to North Wales 🏴 I’ll make sure to call in at Dapol. I really wish they’d produce a Caledonian Sleeper liveried Class 73. These locos are double headed with a Class 66 to complete the Sleeper services to Fort William, Inverness & Aberdeen in the absence of overhead power. Nice looking loco at a bargain price too! Thanks for the info re Dapol outlet shop. All the best.
Hello Andy, just found your channel and I think your video was very interesting and informative, well done. What an amazing layout. you have put together . It's great to see different rolling stock on your railway. Keep up the great work. 👍🚂
