When changing tyranny fluid ,should I disconnect either pos. Or neg . On the battery?

I did my Silverado z71 i changed the filter and when i was done i was only able to refill my pan there's still 8 quarts in the transmission so my fluid still looks dirty but i use my truck for a day or two then i pump the pan and refill i figure i do that a few more times and it will start looking a little cleaner what you think

When diagnosing a damaged shift solenoid, would using a bi-directional tool to actuate the solenoid and looking at the pressure be helpful at all in diagnosing? Without having to remove the pan again. Edit: Just to add, I saw your post in the Astro Safari fb page.

My 4 l 60 as of right now has 311,306 mi on it yesterday I did a complete transmission flush... 4 days prior to that it had a shifting hard first to second bump I know the contamination in the oil affects the shift solenoids the flush helped it my question is how many miles can you get out of a 4L before the clutches are completely gone what's the longest you've ever seen one of these run

Hi Robert, I'd appreciate your thoughts on a scenario I'm experiencing. For the first 20 minutes after a cold start, everything runs smoothly, including shifting, whether I'm cruising or accelerating hard. However, after about 20 minutes of driving, the transmission shifts to/from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th a bit harshly. Additionally, while accelerating in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gear, there is some hesitation at high RPMs (around 3,000 to 5,000 RPM) before it shifts to the next gear. What could be the root cause you think? Additional info; 8Speed transmission with 40K miles on the car, 2018 Genesis G80 Sport (AWD)
