Well done you that was a lot of rubble to shift. Did you have to shovel it off at the other end, or is it a tipper trailer, also UK recycling centers are a pain in the rump, you need to fill in forms make and appointment etc. Etc. Our local tip you have to pre book a slot and the vehicle can’t be over 2m high, no sign writing on the vehicle either. Think we should be more like France. Great video ☺️

Ok, I’m obsessed with the water turbine you have there. So hydro power. As you know you need solutions for a hight flow rate and low head. So if you have about a 1.5 m or more head you can use an archimedes screw. Other options are impulse turbines…. But wait you already have the remains of a impulse turbine there! Complete will all the structure for sluces to control it, an out flow back to the river ( I think that was the tunnel you explored when the water levels were low) .so why not dig around in the mud and see how much of the olde turbine is left? I might be wrong and their may be nothing there, but if there is, it would have been state of the art technology from 100years ago. Don’t discount it, lots of the Victorian mill on the river Derwent we’re powered by Victorian impulse turbines. Wow restoring an old turbine on RU-vid? All the nerds could join me here :)

I must say I am surprised at how much of the wood appears reusable. Also get a kick at your favorite tool, the long wrecking bar! Keep up the good work!

I really enjoy the regular videos and think you’ve got some amazing potential with the Old Mill subject matter, but 18 minutes of watching you clean up is not interesting to me.
