This run was done on the live server without the double massacre bonuses. I estimate that the leveling would be ~15-20min faster in S28 release, and I imitated a few high level items that I would have crafted over time through paragons that I assigned as I progressed. Realistically I would have been a bit stronger close to level 70 because I assigned too few points. Towards the end I tried out the full 6pc GoD set with various supporting pieces. Cheated a little bit by simply adding Hunter's Wrath in the cube but it's unnecessary to clear GR70 if you have Ninth Cirri Satchel already (which I found in the run, else you could level another DH to 34 to gamble it easily). The GR70 isn't too hard with just 6pc GoD and the quiver. We're not fully sure if the seasonal journey step where you have to collect 5 blacksmith and jeweler recipes would have been done properly in this run. It's probably safer to complete the last bounty act after lvl 61 to make sure to get some recipes. Steps: No Challenge Rift Cache (save for sacrifice at step 15 for S28 theme unlock) - Start Necro, T1 A2 bounty run - Steal Templar’s weapon, salvage his shield and Scoundrel’s bow - Go to Altar in New Tristram and unlock Doubled Massacre season theme - TP to all bounty waypoints once to snapshot nearby low level monsters, then go for Zoltun Kulle or Maghda first - Finish bounties in order hardest to easiest - At lvl 11, steal Enchantress’s weapon - Turn in cache (gives 1 DB and ~200k gold) - Reduce to hard, get Kanai’s Cube - (lvl 18+) Farm Zoltun Kulle/Maghda bounties for 2x Diamond or open the chest from first kill - Combine Diamonds into Flawless and sacrifice for S28 theme “Items have no lvl requirement” - Start your main class or keep leveling Necro, upgrade Blacksmith to 10, craft lvl 60 2h weapon - Start Torment 4 or 5 bounties, go act by act and gradually reduce difficulty to prepare for Haedrig's Gift - After one run, upgrade Blacksmith fully and craft level 70 2h weapon - Add more level 70 rare armor pieces as you progress - Finish leveling with T1-3 massacre bonuses in Temple of the Firstborn - Full guide coming soon
You do have to do 5 acts of bounties after lvl 70 to get the 5x jewellers recipe. You only get one per cache. You get many blacksmith recipes per cache but only one jewellers. I tried this in the past thinking i’d get ahead on the seasonal journey while levelling and got screwed having to redo them anyways. E/ I love the levelling to 18 and doing a T1 bounties act on necro then switching to dh idea though, will definitely do that.
@@axzantos4968 it don’t have to be in the same game, you do have to do act 1 to 5 though and also need to teach the jewellers 5 recipes, so If you do them earlier than 70?dont cash them in until then or the recipe wont drop and you have to redo them.
@@jlchausse909 You can buy Hellfire Amulet (counts as 3 plans) and Hellfire Ring (1 plan) plans from Act 2 vendor and they count towards season journey. Unfortunately they are 5MM and 2MM gold each.
If you spent some time (1-2 minutes) looking for Act 2 T1 bounties that don't require moving onto a different map/cave, you can actually snapshot all the bounties at T1 level 1. Doing so would probably knock 5 minutes off of your run, since all the enemies would be very easy and you can plow through those bounties very quickly. I tested on the live servers in Season 27 (I skipped this previous season) and was able to finish the Act 2 T1 bounty within 9-10 minutes doing this.
I can confirm you get no recipes before 61. Made that mistake last season. Thanks for this awesome content. Level 1 to GR 70 is the best part of every season!
@@wudijo So it seems you can buy plans from Act 2 Vendor and it counts towards the "5 jeweler plans" and the amulet plan even counts as 3. Unfortunately its 5 million gold for the amulet plans and 2 mllion gold for the ring plans..... so it's either save up or do 5 acts at 61+.
you won't need the gold right away, there is still a bunch of other objectives to do. If you get lucky with a puzzle ring or simply gold goblin it should be no issue at all, else you can probably just get most of it on your way to chapter IV completion
@@KatoKrazy So, one little correction. Apparently, at least now, the 2 million gold pattern counts as 4. That makes life significantly easier, because you will have 2 million gold by Chapter 4. Worst case scenario, you have to run one bounty.
Question/observation. Couldn't you just go and snapshot EVERY bounty in all 5 maps? So like all 25 available bounties when at level 1 and then do them all? I mean you would have plenty of mats and gold and aside from the boss's it would be a breeze and you should be well able to upgrade the blacksmith to craft the higher level items as you go. Wouldn't take to long to snapshot them all and the lost time would be made up pretty fast with the faster levelling, I assume. I am only thinking about this because I really don't want to make a Necro first and just use my DH from the start.
I tried that a bunch one One act only on T1 to get the death breath to level the blacksmith to lvl 12 on my dh and died every time. There’s always that one map with a narrow passage or a cave with a bunch of monster and wallers. But I guess if you play on sc it’s possible. It’s just hard when not using the cache doing that since you can’t even buy items at vendors at the start you just run naked on T1. Necro is so much easier to kill stuff with on T1 with nothing at the start. I wouldn’t do more than one act at the start anyways since you’ll need to do them again after lvl 61 to get the 5 jewel plan anyways.
Thank you for the content. These gets me so hyped for the new season. Interesting choice doing bounties pre 70. I'm on the fence about it, since massacre bonus is so strong and bounty isn't great for long chains, but I suppose it helps with important resources and sets you up for faster 70. I guess necro 1-18 for flawless diamond could be faster if you snapshot harder (explore map further) or fish for better bounties. Leaving Zoltan chest for lvl 18 should be fastest. At this point you have accumulated 231,5k gold, you first spend 3,5k for lvl 3 Jeweler, and 236k for lvl 11 Blacksmith. Plus small fee 1k crafting. You're 10k short at the DH reroll.
There are a lot of benefits going for bounty levelling instead of Temple, the gold and mats, plus caches, shards plus already having them done for the haedrigs, plus being able to craft 70 gear, plus chance at goblins for imperial gems. With Alter unlock double massacre xp.
wudi, can we complete seasonal jorney before lvl 70? if so isnt it better to do it right after you get the no lvl req? since we are over powered for T4...
What do you think about having someone else sacrificing their Challenge Rift Bag to craft lvl70 items for you for leveling and keeping yours for the upgrading altar?
How far do you have to go into a level to snapshot it. I've seen people run all the way around the stage, and here you just walked until you saw one thing. Then you said the snap shotting is super important. lol. I'm still a little confused on it. Maybe I'll try it out a little before 28 starts. Thanks for any input.
snapshotting the level is spawning the mobs in. If you run around and haven;t spawned the mobs and you're say level 8 on t1, the mobs you already spawned in are level 1 t1 mobs but the new ones you spawn in are level 8 t1 mobs which will mess you up pretty good.
It really depends on the layout and tbh I can't answer this question precisely. Essentially everything that a maphack can show you is preloaded and should be snapshot as far as I understand things
Yeah or if group level to 11 grab enchantress weapon have someone make new char and make t6 game have others join then leave and rejoin from level 1 and it snapshots the game to t6 level 1
@@ASavageEye You are correct. The gift is just a cache. The items aren't set until it is opened and the drops are based on the class that opens the bag. I've had past seasons where I got a rorg and a fifth set item before I got the 3rd gift. I kept it for my next class and got two free set items for that class.
You start on Necro because it's fastest to lvl 18, then you play your main class. Some people also plan to stick to Necro until full Haedrig, which you can open on another class
I tried leveling with bounties on a new account and it doesn't work for Haedrig's Gift. I had to redo the bounties at 70 because I was still missing the 5 jewelcrafting recipes.
DH is slow 0-18, and slows down 50-70. Otherwise with the cache you can level 18-70 with pretty much full yellow gear (minus the jewelry) I ran to 60 SC on t6 but really should have turned it down to t3 somewhere in the 50 range with FoK. If you're not playing HC and you're using the cache I think it's worth skipping wraps of clarity and going for either a leorics crown or saving shards to roll for quivers in the 31+ range in order to get a better multiplier (especially if you get Karlies point on your upgrade).
3hrs without the cache?!? Too bad we can't post gifs on RU-vid otherwise I'd have posted the one with the cat knocking stuff off a table "fck this, fck that, fck all these too, fck this thing in particular". :)
LOL this has been my experience last league because i was playing Hardcore and opened cache and then died so i started over again but without legendary item or 70 item in my bag :D And i did it like 3 hours on my wizard I already practice that :D
I too am a noob, but I think the idea is that you explore an entire map without killing anything. When you first see a monster it loads with a strength level that is according to your current level. You can level up, but monsters can't after you see them on your screen. So you explore the map at level 1, see every monster on it without killing any if you can help it, then start killing them after that. By the time you're killing the last monsters on the map, you're level 5, but they're still weak level 1 monsters because that's how you 'snapshotted' them. Those early levels can be difficult because it's easier to fall behind on gear, so snapshotting can help a little.
As I understand he was focusing on altar and season progress as well, not purely on 1-70. The title is 1 to GR70. So a blindfolded 1 to 70 temple farm shall be much faster even with vendor only (+drop) gear
That is true, but he is showin people how it is done with multiple classes, did it with wiz yesterday on stream, much respect for this guy for providing these videos on how to efficiently level🫡
