I honestly thought I was watching a huge youtuber I didn't hear about before, until I looked at your subscriber count. The video quality is honestly amazing, you just gained another subscriber! Go on like this and you definitely will go big.
@@mattliller But bro you still ‘tested’ it in the video and acted amazed when it did not break and you acted scared when you were dropping it. Everyone knows it would survive that drop anyways
I have dropped my iPhone 13 Pro 3 times from waist height. 2 of those times it wasn’t in a case, and cracked a rear camera lens, and the other it chipped the bottom of the screen. It survived the drop in a leather case. If you go case-less, purchase insurance!! Using cases with a lip has always negated the need for a screen protector for me and I’ve had no issues with micro scratches on the display.
I use only screen protector (tempered glass) because, without it, the phone loses its oleophobic coating overtime and gets lots of finger prints/smudges on it (which you have to clean often with microfiber cloth)
so you like the feel of a shit glass instead of the oleophobix coating. why do you get a new phone then, just to keep it for resell instead of enjoying it?
0:40 Yes as someone who went caseless like a few months after getting the 14 ProMax that is exactly what I’m trying to explain and say. Like Apple designed it like this to help hold it I swear because it feels like it digs in is easier to hold them around in case. And the drawbacks are very understandable. It’s an easy place in my phone on my table or any surface that is not soft cause I was worried that I might scratch my camera or my screen when I put it flat down and it’s hard to pick up.
I went w/o a case for a few weeks & the back is perfect. I also got 2 micro scratches out of no where (my phone is always by itself in my pocket). Got a screen protector & leather case. Peace of mind
Awesome review Lol I like the comedic drop test 😂 I love going caseless now. Accidental care plan is key. You can use the phone the way it was designed. I have the Samsung Fold :)
I just have a good quality screen protector, I always either have my phone in my hand, pocket, or if I place it somewhere I’m always only a few feet away at most, so I keep my volume on, and place my phone face down on the screen protector if I need to put it down outside my pocket. Still hear all my notifications come in, and no wobble. Also keeps my bare back glass and camera lenses from ever being on any surface that could scratch it. Only thing that bothers me is the damn fingerprints on the stainless steel. Has anyone else had this annoy them to no end but got over it? If so, how did you get over that part?
There is no solution to the fingerprint issue on the stainless steel. It sucks but you either learn to live with them, or have some sort of cloth around and continuously wipe them down 😂🤦🏾♂️
No need to put the phone screen side down to protect the camera lenses, those "lenses" are actually the protection layer for the real lenses behind it. Because the distance between is so small, small nicks wont show up in the actual photos because the minimum focus and aperture...yeah the rocking is annoying. I rock naked but have a nice spigen EZ fit glass screen protector, it fits 100% because it came with a "placeholder" tool, its so accurate alligned that its hard to even see there is any screen protector.
I had my 12 pro max for almost 2 years and not once had a case or screen protector and the screen had micro scratches that’s it after a polish it looked better but not like I would’ve wanted so now I have a screen protector that’s it I can’t stand cases not only are they all ugly no matter what you get they’re bulky and make it hard to pull out your pocket reduce vibration and sound quality they can tear up the corners of your phone depending on how much you play with em or take em off and they give you a sense of security that they don’t provide I will always be case less from now on especially considering the innovations of gorrila glass and other shit like that
I never use cases only occasionally i don't like suffocating my iphone or ever charging it with a case... Even on normal use case less is way better to avoid heating it😊hello from Sénégal
I use a carbon fiber case and screen protector on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, sometimes I like to keep without a case but when it's an expensive and very good phone, I want to protect it. I have dropped it once without the case on the bathroom floor and there is a small crack in the upper left corner of the screen that you don't even notice
iphone 14 is surprisingly comfortable to hold caseless but considering mine flew off 2 times in first 24 hours of its life, its not gonna go anywhere without a case lol
I dropped mine and dam it cracked my glass protector thank god I had a 3 pack without it I know my screen would have cracked brand new iPhone 14 pro max
I was shocked that u only have 440 subs (at the time of commenting this), I checked out ur channel, all of the videos have amazing production quality for such a small channel, keep up the good work! I subbed!
that was not a drop test, i understand why you wouldn't want to really break it, but still that was a safe drop from the beginning. but either way, your content is fire! i really thought you were a big youtuber and apparently not.. which is surprising. you deserve to be more known!
@@Quiiick_ No scratches so far. I tried using cases including the original ones but didn't like the feeling when hold the phone in my hand. Even the original leather case doesn't give me the feel of a premium product, therefore I always go bare.
@@BlueShift24 Exactly the reason why I dont like screen protecters, even tho my screen protectors arent scratched or cracked, I still throw them away, The display looks way cleaner w/o it
the 300th subscriber is on board, hello! :D Gonna buy my first iphone in near future and I plan to go caseless to enjoy it as it was ment to be. I'm worried about camera shield tho, but who knows, maybe I'll get lucky. Thanks for the vid
I’ve gone back a forth a few times, and like both for different reasons. I might recommend you commit to trying it for a week to see if it works for you.
I can’t imagine doing this. iPhones are so slippery and I have dry hands! I’m not a clammy hands or sweaty palms person. (I’ve never understood how people have hands that are always wet. 🤢)
It feels better in the hand without the case , the case I’m rockin is super bulky tho! Otter box defender pro , good case protects the phone , could use one of them carbon fiber camera numbs tho, the paint around the edges of the lenses is knicked up , no big deal glad my lense is ok but I get free screen protectors for life from t mobile, before i tried goin ceaseless like I said love the feel but an all glass phone ! And it didn’t take a week before scratches n dings were showing up idk how
I had a S21U, that thing is impossible to operate without a case. It slips out of your hand and you touch the edge of the display all the time (even with edge touch deadzone configurations) and I was thinking on upgrading to iPhone 15 once it comes out because of USB-C. But as soon as I saw the CAD leaks that it will have rounded edges I bought an iPhone 14. I'm not going to deal with bars of soap as phones again.. Got a screen protector and that's it, no case so far, and I don't plan to put on one either.
I have a case that's like a no case-case lol if that even makes sense. the arc pulse...and it's liek a way of not having a case but at least you just protect your edges of your phoen and can enjoy that sleek look of the phone...but yeah something about just having the phone by itself it's something we never apprecaite since we all put cases lol
