To win the fight, we need to bring the boss under 10% HP for them to activate a special 20T uncancellable Force Time. Upon this activation they will restore their health to 49%. The battle will end when one of the following conditions are fulfilled:
- all 20T of enemy Force Time expires
- kill them again from 49% HP after their HP restoration
If you're not aiming to complete the extra missions, going off-turn is the path of least resistance. Minwu is especially good here.
If aiming to complete the side missions, especially in one go, you'd have to bring characters with the following filters:
- series: FF6, FF12, FFT
- color: black, green, blue
- weapon: sword, greatsword, throwing
Celes is by far the best one to bring here if you have her full kit. Setzer and Gabranth are good damage mitigation. Agrias's disabling kit also finally has time to shine here~
NB. This team does require Ramuh to at least be Lv 41, which is easily unlocked once we beat the Chaos and Lufenia level stages.

I went with gladio, Beatrix and minwu minus his bt and it was a pretty safe counter run with solid tanking and clutch healing.

Nice. But my team is more targeted for people who wants to finish the extra missions in one go. Need to bring chars from FF6/12/Tactics, with crystal color green/blue/black, and weapon type sword/greatsword/throwing. Your team doesn't clear any of the requirements unfortunately. 😅

So is my game faulty or am I missing something? The points missions say 8 12 and Type 0, along with Sword Greatsword and Spear.

The point mission (bingo board) has different filters compared to the Spiritus fight. If you click on the blue Mission button on the left and go to the Quest tab, there's a list of "Clear SPIRITUS difficulty with x/y/z" -- these require FF6/12/T and sword/greatsword/throwing.

Any defensive ones you have: WoL, Gladio, or even Setzer base call. We just need a little extra defense to help mitigate the non-stop HP attacks towards the end.

I keep getting wiped out with their FR attack what am I doing wrong. I have Penelo, Ashe, and Rinoa?

If they enter Dark Mode and used the ability "Dark Surge", they will get a framed [HP DMG Up] buff. Without damage mitigation, they're gonna hit really hard. Try to have Ashe's BT up earlier to prevent them from buffing. Or use defensive calls like WoL LDCA to help survive it. ... or alternatively, we can go full defensive + off-turn team. That's the easiest way to win this fight.

for S rank had to run with galuf,ashe and minwu... its a safe run...for requirement mission...i bring setzer,agaris and ashe...took a lot of retries as we have to mitigate at the right time to live

i got kinda unlucky and didnt pull ashe's BT/FR until after beating ramuh spiritus, tho thankfully i managed to s-rank it first try using ashe minwu and beatrix............. at least i FINALLY have rem's EX/LD and a nuclear bomb in the shape of a sorceress waifu (meaning i finally managed to pull her BT, and green'd it nigh instantly)

Well I maxxed ashe out. Got lucky with gem draws. Did ashe, penelo and cor and literally killed them before 20T finished

Upon bringing them down to 10% HP, they will heal back up and start their 20T Force Time. Survive all 20 turns and we win.

You said Celes is good, but the bosses absorbs Ice, and Celes has Ice counter.

Among the available restrictions, the FR units we have are: Ashe, Terra, and Celes. Celes are by far the best of the three for this stage because of her damage mitigation and healing. Her FR bonus can ramp up quite fast, and she makes the endgame more bearable without stuns. The absorb isn't too big of a deal. Celes can apply ice resist down to slightly negate the absorb effect.
