I really admire Trevor and the other camera-men or women for the amount of work they put in. They run in all conditions, sand, mountainous, snow, hot and cold, and are one of the reasons this site is so watched.

Is yours an AD1 or AD2? If you don't know how to tell, does it have a low range button? If it doesn't, then it's an AD1. If you want, MFC Offroad makes a 2.5" lift for them both.

Good idea for off roading...have a shovel, tow straps and even another 4 wheel drive. Buddy system is the safest way to go. I know from personal experience.

I so want a ringtone of the MORRVAIR! The sound starts at idle and gradually increases in RPMs. Kind of like when the where pulling out the Jeep!

The musical note of the Morvair is sweet love to my ears. Back in the day my local county police FLEET was approx 1968 police intercepter Plymouth Road Runner complete with the bird I do not know for sure but I think was 440 Hemi , the exhaust note was unique and identifiable, I'm sure it was tubing diameter & design that produced the sound, listening to the morvair when @ work attempting to extricate a stuck vehicle is melodious rapture.

@@MrEazyE357 I found out the hard way that the tow pin is an "accessory" to be ordered from the dealer and not included in the Dodge vehicle when you take delivery. Wouldn't surprise me if Jeep is the same.

Funny to step back and think about the Morvair now, as a fully buttoned up finished vehicle with everything working and compare that to it's first few months. Vehicles with tow pin attachments don't necessarily come with the tow pin anymore. I got a rogue recently, has attachments points front and back, no pin. Nissan doesn't even list any part as being a compatible pin. Something to check if you get a new vehicle. If you're lucky enough to have a tow point, might as well spend the 20 bucks so you can actually use it.

Another great video from MORR. First ad in the video was Hollie with mischief maker was an on x off-road ad. She said she broke down and her friend specializes in off road recovery and he replaced her u joint on the trail. Couldn't help but think it was Matt that helped her. First time an ad was relevant to the video lol.

Used my belt to hold the lower (front) a-arm on my bosses 1st gen RZR when the lower cross bolt sheared. Drove it 40ish miles back to the trailer. Still wear that belt to this day. Necessity is the mother of invention.

A couple of tips. 1) look in the owners manual for bumper pin storage location. 2) always carry a poncho with you for rain, mud and snow. They take up almost zero space. Stay safe!

Agree with #1. They could ask the wife to do it to preserve all egos. A previous episode had them looking for jack parts on an F250. And when they failed, again it meant getting down in the mess.... As for #2, Matt has countless videos where he uses a trash bag. I suspect the bag got used cleaning up the wilderness and didn't get replaced. But the way they just keep pushing forward makes both #1 and #2 meaningless. And laying in the snow makes for better content.....

Matt, I hope you educate these types of people once you pull them out. 1) Stock vehicles can/will get stuck in even a small amount of snow in the back country. 2) When they drive our Utah trails, after they’ve been rain saturated, they leave ruts when it dries that last a long time. Nothing worse than a nice trail with 2 deep ruts running down it. I could go on and on but stupid is as stupid does.

People shit on the KL and WK2 Trailhawks more than they deserve. They say this and that about them before even bothering to learn what they have and can do. I mean, show me a compact SUV that has a full belly of skidplates, a 2-speed lowrange, rear locking differential, rocksliders, almost 9" inches of clearance, can tow 4,500lbs and go right from the trail and back to house at the end of the day.

Rarely do you ever see Matt with a jacket or pullover when it is cold. Everyone else is covered up. I believe Matt has a built in sweater, hair covered back, chest and shoulders. My uncle is like that but he looks like a polar bear because it's all white now. Matt, black bear..lol

@7:50 I wondered why Matt wanted to continue towing the car after he got them out. Pretty simple, earlier,he said they were going in the mud. he just didn’t want to lay in the mud to reconnect if they got stuck again on the way out. A great call👍,Not his first rodeo.

@@schooper. the trailhawk is nothing but a trim level, has absolutely nothing to do with actual capabilities, there are some that actually are trail rated,, such as the rubicon, or moab, all wheel drive, which is primarily aimed at helping city folk commute in bad weather is by no means 4wheel drive, which is to enable those that need the capability as part of their job, like construction, farmers and such one really needs to do their own research and never believe salesperson, they get paid on commission and will say anything to make the sale

To anybody going off road: know how to access your tow hooks; Put them in an accessible place; Take small shovels; take a big come-along and a long 1/2" rope or chain. I've dug myself out of many places before the age of cell phone recovery.

Reading through some Jeep Cherokee forums, and the Recovery Eye Bolt is an "option" and does NOT come standard with the "new" Cherokees. (Surprise, surprise, surprise). If it did, it would be listed on the build sheet, and located on the spare tire wheel well. So, those of you with the newer Cherokees might want to see if you got it, and if not, order one so you have it if/when you need a tow.

F.y.i the recovery eye loop isn't meant for hard yanking like the tow hooks that come on the other trims. It's able to be pulled on, but not the hard yanking that might need to be done offroad.

For SXS recoveries such as this one, where the rear wheels have no issue. I always thought some sort of homemade hitch reciever mount with a electric over hydraulic lift would work good. Similar to Casey Ladelles sneaky lift on his Dodge. But one you could take on/off by using the reciever hitch. Great video, as Always !! Love seeing Casey in the videos. His channel is also one of my favorites.

^^^ it would have to be super light weight and I’m guessing weight distribution would make it impractical on sand, but for sxs/atv trail recovery it would be cool to see someone make something and try it!

The current Gen cherokee's are actually pretty capable off road. She got that far with the most basic of 4wd and none of the ground clearance afforded by the trailhawk.

@@johnt6673 This jeep was not a trailrated cherokee. However frankly most stock off roaders would have gotten stuck in the same place with very few exceptions. Both the trailhawks (cherokee and renegade) might have made it farther into the brush, or stood a better chance of getting back out, but in general nothing stock was getting back out of that regardless of make or model. Frankly now a days you can buy quite a few SUV's that even stock are quite good. Toyota makes a couple, jeep makes a few, ford and chevy make one or two each. However they are going to come limited by the fact that they have to have on road manners too. The jeep she had was going to get stuck from the beginning, it was just a matter of where as it is with most off road stock vehicles.

Suggestions: Buy some moving blankets at Harbor Freight to lay on in the mud and snow, and buy a few different brand of tow hooks to carry in the Morvair.

Has Casey convinced you to put tracks on one of your vehicles yet? His channel is fun to watch too - watched a few search and rescue - yikes! That pull with the rope on the right A-arm, wrapped around the left tire worked pretty well!

wouldn't matter if it was trail rated. it would still be stuck. Jeeps are the number one vehicle they rescue.

I have the same jeep I believe 2017 Cherokee limited 3.2 and I’m not sure if the driver and or Matt know how to fully disable all traction control systems but watching the jeep not spin the tires at all makes me think no.
