In this episode, as I train to beat stage 2 boss, I managed to showcase design issues behind checkpoints and lives system. Basically managed to get a nice QA session with dev too. After the stream, dev confirmed, that checkpoint system is gonna be changed to include the gear you had when you activated them. To avoid having these unfair situations, which is against Volgarr's design.
