Great Video Ryan! Yes the facilities companies do like to repair. That’s fine with me as it’s hob security. Been dealing with gas and go bandits lately in PM’s. Airflow good, condensor clean( cause I cleaned it) check charge and psi’s are running high. Recover about a pound of refrigerant and voila running like a champ. This has happened on 3 units in the last week. 🤦♀️ SMH
I like the advice when wondering about a shorted compressor to simply remove the wires and isolate them from the compressor. Then reset the breaker. If it doesn't blow you have a bad compressor. Wouldn't help here without the fuses but for residential pretty fast, easy, and decisive.
It’s a good start, but that’s not always the case. I had a tripped breaker on a condenser and did the same thing. But before condemning the compressor I checked the capacitor and it turned out to be the bad. Something told me to check it out even though it looked brand new. I swapped it out and everything ran smoothly. If I had not checked it I would’ve quoted a new compressor along with a new capacitor and never would have known the difference.
