I have a 2013 suburban and I’ve had all these issues!!! No crank everything worked got jump it cranked!! So I replaced battery no problems since2yrs ago!! I’ve had service stability /traction control transmission yerking misfires, replaced plugs air filter great for six months then reduce engine!!! I looked at plugs again 1& 7 fualted out!! I replaced checked for shorted fuel injector,, all good so I dumped 1 gallon of laquar thinner with ten gallons of gas till empty all issues gone!! Now 14 months later and all good. So I just had a clogged injector.. so to all stop replacing all these expensive parts it all comes to plugs and air filter and using good fuel, also dumping fuel cleaner once in a while will save you these troubles!!! Good luck oh and last of all!! Keep in mind that these vehicles no longer have distributors, wich means that you have got to have a very good source of power,(BATTERY)!!!

Maybe longshot, but what about basics? The battery, the battery terminals, and yes I know you haven't done any voltage checks yet. Corrosion somewhere is my guess and that's first place to check. 2012 GMC Acadia Denali AWD with an intermittent no crank no start where when the key is turned to the ignition position the dash radio and headlights all lose power and there is no attempt to crank. The battery was replaced very recently so I checked battery terminal connections under the floor in the back as well as the connects at the fuse box in the engine bay. The connections are all free of corrosion and are all tight. So I checked the relays in the fuse box, crank and ignition, those weren't the problem. So I checked the fuses for the ignition ECM battery etc, all fuses are good. So I checked the connections on the body control module, all good. No engine codes, no yellow lock light so not an anti theft lockout. I tried whacking the starter, nothing.

I'd check the battery. Had a 94 Suzuki swift that at times won't crank. Just hear the starter solenoid clicking. Put a jump starter and it would start every time. Went to a local auto parts store and had the battery checked and it passed. Finally put a larger battery and never had any more problem. Voltage didn't go below 9 volts when I did a crank test. Maybe the battery didn't have enough amps to work with.

Ever seen how much the sunroof leaks on these models? Pools all the water around the battery! Wonder if she has this issue with her vehicle?

Not sure about in front of a fire place . we are cooking here in Australia . i have done a few GM cars with the Bosch ECU P0606 and the only fix was to put in a new ECU

Shortly after all that it started going into limp mode just out of the blue from time to time,and if it sends any kind of ice or snow on road it will go to limp mode. I'm 125 miles from amarillo tx that's where the shops was we took it to.

I'm thinking to remove power or ground from the FPCM only and wondering what those two connectors in series, shown in the circuit diagram, are ?

Mine is the same vehicle. We've replaced the battery and alternator. We're working on changing the starter today. The only thing with mine is it doesn't say reduced engine power. No codes on it either. Sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't.

I think I saw ECM had a different power path than FPCM in the wiring diagram. Interesting case! good luck

Your on the right path, keep following down to the FPCM.

Boosting the battery to above 6v makes sense if the connection is faulty plus the no crank. Haha I would start at the battery. It's obvious I'm a DIY'er. LOL On to part 2 👍👍

Ivan i was sure you were onto something there ,your thought process is awesome.

have you checked the ignition switch? this would interrupt power to the ecm/fpcm, and cause a no crank, and no start issue. start by probing voltage to ignition coils in run, as well as voltage to the fpcm in run position.

PS I told them to try O2 sensor spacers for the downstreamers first, as they had enough room for them, and easy for DIY mechanic to get to .. can't hurt .. maybe save about $450 at least for a while.

This fuse box/wrg diagram looks very deja vu similar to an '09 Saturn Outlook I was diagnosing last weekend. Was checking out the O2 sensors/heaters .. cats thereof. Concluded the cats were spanked .. was hard to convince myself tho ...

Taking a guess on P0606, Internal Fault detected, and say that there's something wrong with the PCM's signal getting lost. Guess I gotta stick around for all 5!

Think about this: you pull an important fuse (fuel/ECM) and it scans NO DTC Codes? Everything's ok, huh? WOW. The whole bloody nightmare needs recalled.

I'll guess...heavy key chain on gm ignition switch.

I am a dealer tech and we have done quite a few of the FPCM even though they weren't under the recall. Stupid spot to put them too.

Multiple times have I encountered tsb's or campaigns, etc. that fix the vehicle but are not included in the VIN list. As if they missed VIN's.

I'm thinking "flood cars".? Battery terminal? I have a Honda PA50 90/10 I work on it 90% of the time and ride it 10. Fabulous videos.

So did replacing the module fixed the problem? Ive a 07 h3 doing exactly the same thing no crank no start reduced power error. Already replaced battery terminals and battery. Still trying to figure out what the hell is the problem.

Is there a way to look at it's service record to see if the dealership even did replace the fuel pump module? I have had a few foul instances dealing with certain places here in wv about doing warranty work. Most places will just deny you till you call corporate on them.

What launch do you have

There's a lot of global head scratching goin on trying to find the problem.Never seen so many modules in my life. The thing is where do ya start looking with all them variables ? It was bad enough when the pcm arrived on the scene but these modules are a different kettle of fish entirely.What we see and what the pcm sees are not the same.

Hey Ivan, could you tell me, on the wiring diagram, the symbol that represents the fuel pump control module, looks like a resistor with a black arrow coming from it, what does the symbol represent, it appears a lot on your wiring diagrams? Thanks Jonathan

By pulling the fuse, you're creating a "no voltage" condition... isn't that the modules natural state when the ignition relay is not activated? Would you not have to apply less than 6 volts (or whatever the threshold was) to try to recreate the error? Just guessing here... great video!

Love your videos. Found this site through joint video with S. Main Auto Keep posting and love the tech on diagnostics. Please refrain from using derogatory terms for manufacturers and vehicles. I have owned the: Ford "exploader", and it was GREAT! Trailblazer (9-7x) Chevy "$%^)(($" Toyota MR2 Spyder "POS pre-cats" Maxima - floor boards. Not all vehicles fail and certainly not by brand, but instead model, and they all have quirks. P

Your issue is a bad Pcm or Ecm .I had a intermittently no start condition with a chevy colorado with the P0606. Which took me a while to figure it out. So dont break your head any more. From One tech. to another. You will thank me. Also take a look at the starter relay with bad contacts on the relay box. You might be able to add a little solder to the relay pins to make a better contact. Your tech buddy from miami.

Hey I got a quick question about 08 GMC Acadia I was on the highway driving about 60mph then suddenly the “reduced engine power”,”service traction control” and “service stability” turned on and the vehicle slowed down and stopped, now its not cranking up. Anyone plz help me...

Is there more than 1 BBB industries? The one I found is several files, not one, and doesn't include the fuel system, O2 sensor heaters and such what the thunder?

yea, just because a GM part isnt in a recall, doesnt mean it never should be. i wonder how many people had to die in rainstorms until GM finally replaced those 1990's wiper control motors.

We have a 2010 new moter and tranny,been in a number of shops,doing the same thing,and will start if jumped even though battery has juice,and I've hooked it to a scanner and it would start.no one can figure it out,if you do plz plz plz let me know,my little brother left it to me when he passed away.

Hello pine I’m from Pennsylvania I have a couple questions about my GMC Acadia 1.my biggest problems that when I drive for about 3 hrs on hills ups and down it say transmission hot idlle down why is that.2.service stabilitrack,service traction control,ABSlight on, and all wheel drive is off.. Definitely the WCM causing the problem. It can't tell whether the window is down or not and since leaving the window down causes more drag there will be reduced power. So replace every module, curse every auto engineer ever born, shoot it out of pure frustration, have the local priest exorcise it, then roll it over a cliff and burn it. Then send the bill to the customer *nods head sagely JustKidding :P

Look into the ''Reduced Power message'' as a clue.
