Kentucky Derby winner Mystik Dan returned to the Churchill Downs track for training four days after he won the 150th Kentucky Derby. Trainer Kenny McPeek, the first trainer since Ben Jones to sweep the Kentucky Oaks (Thorpedo Anna) and Derby in the same year, talked to the media later in the morning. Though no decision has been made on running in the May 18 Preakness Stakes, the signs are increasingly encouraging that the Derby winner will show up in Baltimore. "If he’s healthy, we’re not scared to go," McPeek said. "If we feel like he needs more time, he’ll get it. It’s all gray; it’s not black and white. ... Who wouldn’t want to go? Especially if your horse is doing well."
