I have a gem pick-up tool from Stampin up that has similar to blue tack which is very good except that the point is too broad, I think the stuff inside is white tack and that's really good , so I agree with you that blue tack is a great substitute and I think it wouldlast longer than the wax too. thx i had a diamond art from a year ago and i lost the wax so thx i have bars of soap so thats nice it works cause that would last until i am able to get blue tack

I use the blue tack all the time instead of the pink wax as it lasts a lot longer than the pink wax. But if you do use the blue tack it is best if you thin it out abit then stab the pen into it and use. I really like using blue tack and I find it works really well. Also you can buy more pink wax from amazon or Ali Express if you search diamond painting accessories.

What a great post. Most things I would never have thought of. I doubt I’ll ever run out of pink wax tho and I did buy some paddy waxx just to try. Seems like every painting I buy these days has two pieces of pink. 🙂

Don't think I will ever run out but if I leave the wax at home one time I can now know I can use something else, and have to admit it was so much fun to do. tfw hugs Cal x

My son and I were at the store one day and he saw some kind of PJ mask cartoon toy. He asked if he could get it, I told him I didn't care, I had NO idea what it was. So I get home and I'm unloading all of the bags, I pull that toy out..saw that it said it was some kind of slime 😳 thankfully my kiddo was busy, so I threw it up on a shelf and didn't think anything else of it. A couple of days ago I was working on a painting and kept having to dip my pen into the wax like constantly, it was aggravating the heck outta me, then a lightbulb popped into my head! The slime! I honestly think it's the consistency of like silly putty more than slime. I finished the last 1/4 of that painting and only had to dab it twice I think? I'm really thinking about pitching that pink garbage lol

Can i have a question? Will my diamond painting lose the stickyness if i leave it days without cover?

It depends on the diamond painting, I usual test a little corner to see if it is ok after a few days, but most of the time i just cover it, but mind you I have 2 cats and a dog in the house as well as the kids lol. Some people say yes you can with all and some say you can't so I just try it myself but as I said on a little corner first. Hope that was helpful tfw take care and hugs Cal x

Beeswax works very well I have a friend who has bee hives and gave me a brick and was amazed at how well it worked.
