That is pretty cool! If I would get it I would just keep an empty single placer handy to move any misplaced drills. I wonder how it would do with the coating on the AB drills.

The wax kinda reminds me of braces wax and somewhere in the DP world I remember someone said it worked good with the AB’s. If it doesn’t take off the coating, they would be worth it just for that. You could also take a utility knife and cut it in half so it’s not so long. I’d probably even put one of the many comfort grips I have on it. I even put one on my X-Acto knife. LOL!

Bless you!!!! You've just won the best comment of the day. :) Seriously so appreciated. I did find out that these little wax pencils are GREAT for AB drills. It doesn't lift the coating off of them. They are also great for larger gems on special gem diamond paintings. Thank you so much for watching!

Great video! And your right I bought one but mine was white wax not the clear like yours. I didn’t like it, for the same reasons you had with it. I gave it back to the Pink Razzberry lol

Wonderful video it looks like it would work pretty good for placing single diamonds in a checkerboard but not side by side what I'm curious of did you try that wax in one of your pins to see how good it was out of your pen thank you so much for sharing I hope you and the family have a wonderful weekend ❤

I think these are pretty much the same things that dancers and gymnast use to put rhinestones on their costumes. This seems like a great solution for rhinestone kits for example, or AB drills that tend to "steal the wax" from the regular pens. But I'm not very precise with placing my drills and need to move a lot of them after placing, so I'd need to keep a regular DP pen on the side all the time :D Thank you for sharing, I might get these for my rhinestone kits :)

I have a similar pencil. It works better for rounds but the tip does get smooched when you have to re-center a drill.

Right??!! Somebody suggested it might work well with coated ABs or special shaped diamonds. Think I will try that next. ;)

Those are more for placing stones on fingernails and other crafts where you don't actually have to press down. I have used them a lot. They shouldn't market them for diamond painting because I am sure they are aware that the wax will "smush" and come off on the stones if you press at all. I hope you have other uses for them. I just found your channel. Thanks for the videos and happy diamond painting!! :)

Hi Linda! I have had a few popping drills but have been using a technique on them that is working for me. I'm recording a video about it right now. Should be out within the week. I just wanted to work on a few of them first to make sure it wasn't just a fluke! I have one that is hanging on the wall...unsealed...and it is still perfect. Thanks for asking! 😁

I'm so glad you reviewed this! I have a heavy hand so this wouldn't be for me. It's a great idea, but it would need to be like a mechanical pencil so we could move the drills or have a pusher on the other end.

Awww Lisa.... That's a shame. I would contact where you purchased it and let them know. I actually cut mine into smaller pieces and sharpen those as it is easier on my hand to use them when they are smaller. They still work that way and you can sharpen both ends. Might be something to try. Hope that helps!
