Morning Danny and congratulations on 5000k subscribers!🎉 How lovely to see Bethan celebrating with you. You managed to get so many jobs done despite the weather. I love the look of clean soil...so there is nothing more satisfying than mulching a bed... it makes such a difference! Have a fabulous week, hope you are not too sore? Take care, Annie 🐞 🐝 🌱
Red sky at night is also a sailors delight. Red sky in morning sailors take warning... I have sailors in my family. 🙃This is how we say the phrase. Your version is lovely. Even though there are several versions, the red sky at night is indeed beautiful. And the red sky in morning is as well. Take care.
What a wonderful video. I forget sometimes what a beautiful view you have of the rolling hills. Just lovely. Congratulations on your 5,000 subscribers! 🎉
Danny if you thoroughly soak the cardboard before you put it down, it should be breaking down well enough to allow the roots through. Lovely to see some of your celebrations! You're welcome!
And a few days later and its another 250 subs matey well done an amazing achievement. The trays are also great for storing stuff like equipment I have a load I use in the new shed. Great video
Hi Danny, the bark looks very nice on the plot 😍 Really brightens up the space! Cannot beat a good tidy up, and you do have a fantastic selection of healthy seedlings 💚 Lovely bean arch, fits so snuggly 😀💚🌿
Hi Danny, how amazing! 5000 subscribers! Well deserved too! ❤ lovely to share your news with your plotholders, too! Both plots are looking lovely. Always plenty to plan & do. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
This time of year gardeners become obsessed with the weather. I am on the West Coast 🇨🇦 and it's still dropping below the freezing mark. *Sigh* My tiny place smells like soil, it's an indoor greenhouse with a worm farm. 🤣
False spring indeed! Glad you missed the snow, though it was beautiful - but so was that night sky. Pot noodle in the poly and a bean structure is erected! #notgifted 😂
Hi Danny, that plot is looking lovely. The bark really is a lovely finishing touch. I loved the music that was playing as you mulched the beds. I have been gifted some asparagus seeds, and they are currently about 3" tall. I can't wait to see them growing in my garden. Your bean trellis looks made to measure and will soon be full of beautiful veggies or flowers. Congratulations X5K 🎉🎊🎈 Have a great week ahead xx
Thank you Jean! I always play similar music on my videos. Glad you like it. Oh yes how lovely to grow some asparagus from seed! I can't wait for both plots to be full of vegetables. Have a lovely week. Danny 🌱
Congrats on hitting 5,000! What great friends to throw a party for you! Fresh bark, rich compost, and Spring rains. I can just smell the good earth in your plot via your videos, Danny!
I must be an obsessive Gardner because I keep checking the weather 👍😂What a glorious sky that was 😍 All looking great Danny, bean structure is a perfect fit . Really enjoyed your 5k subscriber celebration with you, Bethan and family and Doug and Johnny ❤
What a fun 5K celebration! Congratulations! Here's hoping you get a lot more subs this year. Your garden is looking great and ready for the real Spring weather to arrive.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Well deserved and I can't wait till you hit 100K. I look forward to your video's. You make a old lady have something to look forward to.
Hey Danny the plot is looking fab ❤ be good to see a before winter and after Winter picture cos of all the changes you’ve made before everything starts to ‘grow-up’ 😊😊
You realy do inspire me to get out in the garden and give me that kick to keep growing on so thankyou for being so wonderful, your videos always keep me smiling
What a wonderful thing to do help you celebrate 5K on way to 6 now. Those Welsh cakes oh look so yummy. All great Danny. Those baskets are great I think in the UK you gardeners find so much stuff like Terry King too I never find/locate anything even for sale that’s cheap enough to get. They even charge for old pallets here. Maybe it’s because we’re a smallish island State.
Linda is a very special lady. Anyone to be her friend is truly blessed. She does eat your crisps if you blink though 😂😂 oh we have to sometimes pay for pallets too we are also fortunate to get some things free... like bark etc.. Danny 🌱
What a lovely update. How good does that polytunnel look for a tidy up now? You can get to all of your plants easier. It’s looks so much bigger. You can stretch your legs out when eating your pot noodles now too 🤣❤ The bean structure is lovely. It’ll look even more fab in a few months. Great to get planting and visualising the space fully. Looking forward to seeing your asparagus popping up. Once again, huge congratulations on your amazing milestone of 5k subs. Well deserved. You’ve worked hard to achieve that. 🎉
Thank you clare! Yes I'm very happy with the bean structure. The asparagus will definitely benefit from that mulch of manure. Healthy strong asparagus. 🤞
Hi Danny, I’m definitely obsessive mate. I love your song choices, watching you garden just makes me want to get back outside. How satisfying the beds look 😁 loved seeing Bethan and family and the lovely Linda. Saw you do the walk in the sunset 😁 nice idea with trellis giving some height to the plot 😊👍🌱
The polly tunnel looks so much bigger again. Love the bean frame it's perfect. The plot will look fantastic by the summer. Looking forward to seeing it come to life, with such a lovely backdrop 😍
The sky was beautiful Danny, the bean structure looked great and well made, I'm growing a heritage pea this year called Nee Plus Ultra but going to need a taller pea support as they grow really tall, I'm still going purchase the structure though, I always use the mushroom trays they are an allotment must, pleased you like my photos of my plot by the way. Steve Colwell
@@TheGrowUpChannel There was a series a few years ago called A Victorian Kitchen Garden, they were grown on that series, I have a few heritage varieties I'm trying this year.
You are so right Danny, I have never checked the weather app so much until now! It was so cold last night and it is going down very quickly now! Great strawberry plants from Cheryl! Your plot looks stunning. The little metal cloches are just so gorgeous! So wonderful to see you celebrating with Linda and Bethan! Congratulations again on reaching 5000 subs! 🎉🎉🍾. You deserve it, you are such a wonderful gardener and a genuine person with a big heart. What a good deal on the hyacinths! Great job on the asparagus bed and the polytunnel! The climbing frame is looking amazing! Loved your video! 😘🌸💕
Wonderful bean trellis, but when it is covered with quite heavy bean growth and where I live near the Atlantic ocean it would be blown over in a jiffy. You may need tethering ropes at the top.
Hey! Oh they won't be getting that much of a battering. We are lucky if we get one or two wind storms in the summer. Thankfully. Plus the cottages nearby cover me from most winds. 😊🌱
When I GrowUp I want to be just like you! Congratulation Danny on your 5K but more so, on your wherewithall that makes your plots as beautiful as a Welsh painting!
Nice one Danny 🌱 plots looking great and the polly tunnel tidy has made a world of a difference. Have had enough of this rain now, not pleasant to be out in. Looks like this week will be drier so heres hoping 🤞🌱💚
Congratulations Danny on your 5K well deserved mate, and i bet you still haven't got that Swoe from Wolf Garten yet have you? 🤔😂 Take Care. Barry (the Wirral)
Ahh great to plant out when I'm pulling up and binning 🫣 my onions planted last year have ALM on plot 2! 😢 Asparagus bed looks neat and tidy Beautiful sky 😍 Love a good clean up 👍🏽💚
I did see! That sucks! Don't plant alliums in that bed for a few years now. Sadly. Hopefully next year I'll be cropping well from the asparagus. Thanks Rach 🌱
@@TheGrowUpChannel it's on both plots now mate, no idea where to do them apart from home so I have just done that! And I have some asparagus in plot 1, crowns, will get a full crop this year, had some last year and it was amazing. Home grown from seed stuff in a pot probs not ready until next year or even year after 😂 Have a fab Sunday Danny 💚
Your plot is looking fantastic, Danny. All that hard work has really paid off. I'm loving that been frame, what a fantastic idea. Where did you get it from?
Can never have too many onions, with the amount your growing do you have a technic to keep them fresh for longer? What a difference a little tidy in the poly tunnel can make, it looks great in there. Where abouts did you get that bean structure from? It looks class.
Hey Jamie! I just lay them out in the tunnel or greenhouse or shed for 2 weeks to cure and dry. Then string them up. Leave in a cool dry place. They last for 6 months. If lucky. I've just put the bean structure in the description 😄
You keep on saying bark when it's wood chip that you are using, either way you're lucky to get it as all the local tree surgeons my way Crosshands send theirs to biomass generation
I say bark, because where I live, that's what we call it. I'm aware it's actually wood chip. Just a valleys thing i think. It doesnt matter really does it haha. Oh we are very lucky to get it 🙏 so so lucky. Thanks for watching. Danny 🌱
I found the same, onions dont do well in a no dig bed. I did a test last year, one bed cardboard soaked and left for a couple of months and one bed no cardboard. The one without were huge, the no dig were really small. So this year they're all in a cardboard free. Garlic and leeks were the same.
I watch weather forecast/apps several times a day, minimum morning and evening.🌡🌞🌧💧🤔 Do you buy compost bags by yourself or together with others plot holders, to get a better price? Well done tidying up the beds, paths and the polytunnel, The bean arch looks neat.👍🏼 🎂🎂🎂🍰🍰🎈🎈🥂🥂🍾
