Shiit that was a good year. I was married 1yr to the love of my life and we both love listening to this album. The love of my life passed away to breast cancer in 2013. This reminds me of her every time it comes on. RIP Charmaine
I skipped my prom at the last minute just to be there that day. Got to meet everyone in Bush, The Goo Goo Dolls and No Doubt except for Gwen and Gavin after the show.
Didnt realize how great we had it back then. Id kill to go back to these years and stay there forever. Honestly depresses me to be witness to our new society
You can clearly hear the pain in her voice. I can't even imagine how hard it must've been for Gwen and Tony to perform song about their break up over and over again but somehow they made it. WOW! ^^
Kind of like Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks; as many of their songs were about their relationship, also. It must've been difficult at the time, on some level.
fuk off I don't no how she could of been attracted that packy or whatever he is she could get any guy in the world he s an idiot when your in a band always together shit happens
Being a musician, I very rarely remark on vocalist's or musician's looks, because I think it's irrelevant. BUT, I must say that Gwen is probably one of the most attractive / alluring vocalists in the business, then, and now. And of course, that VOICE! She really does has it all...
Revolution1117 Yep, People thought I was basic because I thought she was sexy but when you can hear and pick out the harmonies in her recordings you know she's for real.
I was fucking there. My first and only time to red rocks. First adult trip as a early 20 something. Was a metal fan so didn’t really want to go.My boys talked me into going. It was f…in epic. Btw…sweaty Gwen in a tank top with her hair all messy…is one of the most beautiful things on gods green earth.
Love this song by her, raw, just the truth, I'm 64, I go with what grabs my heart strings always have, I snuck in Red Rocks way up in cave in red cliff drank mad dog, killed rattle snake with my bare hands, Saw Jerry Jeff Walker, J.J. Cake & Commander Cody, I was 18 from NH.....good times really♥️💚☮️🌟😃
Someone in 2019? ❤️ Who can resist Gwen Stefani? ...AN ICON of stage presence! Emotional and beautiful. The emotion and pain is unbearable to watch :'(
+Brittany That's for sure. One of the classiest and talented as well as one of the most beautiful woman in the music industry... or anywhere for that matter. She made it without ever feeling the need to be naked or crude like the wannabees out there now who really suck.
still hot, take off your nostalgia glasses. Back then a lot of people were also following stupid trends, dressed the same to fit into some mainstream stereotypes. Just as they do today. And there are still a lot of artists that "are themselves" expressing themselves, Billy Eilish as an example for mainstream pop music, but there are a ton of cool individual artists withing underground scenes all across different genres.
@@xceasetoexistx218 Quit reducing things to this simplistic nostalgia line. Eilish really isn’t much to speak of. Just another industry plant. Ur dense.
I miss the 90s!! Just turned 40 this month (2 days after Gwens bday 😍 ) and I remember when they came out. She was so good on stage- pre costumes etc. Just rocked it out on stage. Her vocals were so badass.
After 25 years, her performance of this song is still awesome. I come back here after watching her live performance of this song in 2021, just to compare the difference. Damn i love her!
I saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers with the Fabulous Thunderbirds there back in the summer of 1981 while stationed at Lowry AFB. Man, where has the time gone?
I was at that show. Stationed at Ft. Carson at the time. Great act to open up for the Goo Goo Dolls and Bush. Who knew what was in store for her life and No Doubt at that time.
Я, Русская, Крым 1996 год, море, эта песня звучала на каждом углу.Очень классные воспоминания, мне было 26, сейчас 53, офигеть, время прошло, но я очень рада вспомнить это время❤
This, for the record, is my favourite live version of this song. So there you go. I think it might be because it's quite simple and he sticks to the electric guitar for the solo.
Cette nana enchante mes journées, son interprétation, sa beauté et sa présence sur scène facilitent le temps qu'il me reste, je rêve de la rencontrer, j'ai 70 ans et suis malade ❤❤
I was here. I also saw them at the Ogden Theater in Denver just a couple weeks after this. That show was incredible. This was right before they really blew up. Great days.
Sorry for you loss. I lost my wife of 43 years last year to cancer. I know exactly what you are going through. It's hard to keep going on but I will. May god bless you and keep you safe.
Performances like this is why I started to listen to No Doubt back then. Now when I see Gwen all dressed up and hear her sing you can tell the rawness and energy is not there anymore. It's all about the paycheck now. Give me a Dive Bar with an up and coming band over a "$100/ticket entertainment-performance" any day.
Joseph Aguilar Rose tinted glasses. Its tough if you are an ageing artist to create some truly big hits anymore. Especially considering music is your primarily skill. Gwen isnt young anymore, she at most can do tours and adapt to today's music.
It’s all about the difference between being in your ‘20’s and in your ‘’50’s....gee wizz, if I was supposed to still be dressing like I did in my ‘20’s and singing songs about the break up with my first boyfriend...while ignoring marriage, motherhood, travel, maturity, life lessons, a changing world etc etc etc, I’d be Madonna...I’m glad that Gwen has remained true to herself throughout her life’s journey, and brought us along for the ride.
Great song. Even if anyone does not like this music, they were a very very competent band. Where did the time go ? I'm older than Gwen Stefani, but it's getting to the point where it doesn't even matter anymore. Now anyone of that generation is getting old now for sure.
You forget until you see her breathless at the beginning that they aren’t acclimated to the altitude. And Morrison, where Red Rocks is, sits above Denver. So it’s nearly 6500 feet. Living there for years, I still got breathless doing those stairs. So for the people like Gwen who are normally so active on stage, it makes singing and moving tough.
@wiltchamberlainisthegoat13 indeed....among other things, Gwen Stefani is still a beautiful woman...if I think that I'm two years younger than her, it makes me want to cry....😁
I’m pretty sure I went to this show and it rained real hard and she was dragging the guitarist around in a couple inches of water on the stage. He was laying on his back while still playing and it was absolutely crazy! She was calling it a giant slip and slide and they were having the time of their lives.
