I think ten years ago when people bought cds this would have been a hit.now people just ignore stuff unless it's max Martin et al producing for former tween stars
The rug was pulled out from under this song when it launched. The video that supported it that they filmed (cowboys and indians) was pulled the day after this song launched as a single. You can find it on RU-vid with an individual posting it, but American Indians found it offensive and the band apologized and pulled it. It was the end of the beginning - it never charted anywhere except the UK in the 300s. This was their experiment with electronics and almost did not make the album - they only included it at the last minute deciding they wanted to try it.
They performed the song on X factor (viewed by tons of people) and still the song & album did nothing?? I don't understand it, No Doubt is fricking fantastic. :(
surprisingly after this performance the single only sold 908 copies, that's whey they all figured out that this was a huge flop, unfortunately and then they chose to pretend that not only the single, but the whole album never happened. In 2012 the whole music industry was all about EDM beats, that was the meta, but No Doubt insisted in playing music live, with real instruments, like real musicians, even though that's a really good thing, the new songs sounded nothing at all like the studio version, because of course they still tried to sound commercial in the album, but couldn't translate well live. I think this contributed to the flop, 'cause the songs were really good on the album, but not sounded the same live during promotions.
Anyone who thinks this is literal is wrong. "I'm just a girl" didn't mean that's what she thought it was sarcastic. Like this - its about celebrities needing to look their best at all times. It's like she's saying, sarcastically :"You think I'm looking hot? Oh thank God because that's what's most important
I like this song waaay better than Hey Baby specially This particular vers. I think is their best live, the band was so on point and. Gwen was looking hot too!
Wow ok. 10 years ago I recall hearing that No Doubt were going to reunite but I never heard anything more & just thought it was another rubbish rumour. Now nearly 10 years later I've heard Looking Hot & the Other rubbish video/single for the first time today & I know why I never heard anymore about them on Australian Radio!? They were rubbish. What a terrible couple of songs, just a horrific reunion. I thought I'd missed out but I now realise I'm blessed. Blessed to have been focused on the TOOL Reunion & not Waste any effort on this reunion. What a RIP. & RIP No Doubt. I hope they've put it to bed now? Because this belongs in the grave, sorry but this is crap.
