Hi, just wanted to say thank you for a simple but informative video. I haven't welded before so I looked at 'welding for beginners' etc, but they were useless. You took it out the box, wired it up and and gave a simple demonstration. As you know, real men don't need instructions! 🤣🤣. Thanks 👍🏻
We have used the ru-vid.comUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!
Never use an A/C flux core machine as they are very difficult - always buy a D/C one. Never use the flluxcore wire that comes with the machine for anything but practice - buy some good stuff for real jobs. Practice plenty before trying to do real welds - particularly on thin material. Enjoy.
and i think its the perfect machine for hobby welders or if you have just to do a little job, fixing a garage door or something. To me its importand not running around with an extra gasbottle for little things like this and my normal E-welder is by far too strong to weld thin metals without having the risk of burning holes in it every couple of cm

@@cestvraimenthorrible3465 My first flux core machine was an A/C one and it is very difficult to use - I no longer use it. You will find videos of people using the with some success but they are normally very experienced or well practiced on the machines. Because the polarity reverses with the mains frequency of 50/60 Hz they cause a lot of splatter as well and burn through thin material. DC is a lot more friendly for the novice (as long as you set the polarity correctly for flux core) and is much easier to become proficient with. If the Parkside is DC then it should be fine. I love my DC welder which like the Parkside was very affordable.
Great job and fantastic result there. Can i please kindly ask your voltage and speed knob settings from the first thinnest sheet to thickest metal sheet? I've got the same one and im really struggling with given instruction outside the box. Much appreciated!
I can tell you first hand that this is a dreadful machine - I have one - however I also have the more expensive Parkside multi-process welder, which I use to run flux core & it is a little belter of a welder. Excellent machine, can't say enough good things about it. This ^^ however is absolute pish.
Litle more volt ,and less of spatters , and rhe finish been more glaze too, replement the gas cap fore selfsheld welding ,you see more better of welding

3mm you would want to set wire speed to 4-5, and start with heat (voltage) from D+ till you find the sweet spot while lowering it.. (aka lowest spatter and smoothest sound of arc) btw this method is common for all MIg/fcaw welding.. you usually set the wire speed first and then find the proper heat for it...start with high heat and lower.. for 1mm?? ehh.. that would be a bit difficult...no continuous bead for sure.. try wire speed 1.with heat A-B and try tacking.. (all what I said goes to a 0.8-0.9 wire)
@@laszlovona There is only a single dial on the machine for specifying the metal thickness (0.8 to 3 mm). The feeding speed and amperage is automatically set by the machine.
