I am a well experienced GM at the Diamond level, and everyone who beats me are clear hackers.

At around 6:30 in-game the protoss dodges the army and picks off two straggling mines, but it looks like the phoenixes and the medevacs should see eachother so he probably just flew around the army and accidentally found the 2 mines. He also blows up like 3 widow mines in the same spot over and over again, most likely because it was the one spot where there was always a mine (and he got hit there early on).

Regarding the protoss player without hands part, there was a relatively high level protoss player without two hands literally. He played with a stick in his mouth that he used to click on the keyboard and I think he was at plat/diamond level or something. This was a long time back so I couldn't really dig the video up but I did recall seeing it. Perhaps it was during the heart of the swarm days.

just want to point out that there actually is a sc2 streamer without hands. NoHandsMan402 - check him out, awesome guy. First time saw him in the early days of twitch, kicking ass with a pen in his mouth - when i remember correctly he even played up to masters back then!

I think he thought he was hacking because the op spotted a couple of widow mines. Probably doesn't realise that burrowed units have a spottable shadow just like cloaked units have a distortion effect.

I think the reason why he said opponent was hacker was as follows 1. 3:56 Majority of protoss players chronoboost their 1st gateway units in order not to be harrassed by reaper. But in this game, protoss didnt even scouted and just simply delayed gateway units and made a stargate. Whats more, he even upgraded warpgate before his first gateway unit. This kinda play is only available when protoss knows terran made a marine as a first unit or put a reactor without making any units. Or, protoss is prophet that no need to scout. 2. 6:28 It might be just lucky for protoss but majority of protoss's oracle goes for worker harrassment but in this case, protoss just caught couple of marines. And after taking marines, oracle went to 2nd base, even if there is bunker to defend and which has lower possibility of getting lots of scvs. Some high level players might argue, "Since oracle saw techlab attached to factory just finished after oracle had arrived, he would possibly know that there gonna be a widow mine. That would be the reason why he didnt go to main base." There is still weird points. widow mines could be anywhere. And main base's natural is much more near than that of 2nd base's. There really is no reason to go to further side and when speaking of GM level games. According to what I know, there would be suspicious widow mine spot that could hide a hole of mines. Most of GM protoss players therefore moves backwards after entering suspicious area but not in this game. Maybe I just overrated players but I just felt like this guy is pretending as if he is not a map hacker. 3. 11:46 It is really unable to explain. If u see production, we all know that armory hasnt been finished. So since widow mine has shoted once, protoss can see it. But he waited until oracle arrives and 'reveals' a mine that we already can see. I once saw map hacker streaming on twitch and it was like u can see everything but cant click until u get a vision in a real game. So he knew that there is a mine and wanted to take that but he must have thought he could see a mine due to his map hacks rather than knowing it is revealed due to absence of armory. Does it make sense for 5k player to remove mine like that? Even I would not play like that. And the last reason? This protoss has no vision even worse than me. If anyone, can explain just this reason why protoss dont have any vision, plz tell me cuz I really wanna get to learn how to play like this. Just felt like this map hacker that cant manage and control one's army well is winning with a good army composition with a FULL VISION.

If this is the standard for 5k players on Korea, then Im convinced SC2 is totally dead there, because this looked like a diamond level game to me.

Actually this Terran player matched this Protoss for several games, and felt this guy play like a hacker, so he temporally changed build order, which messed up his macro. As he think this guy was a hacker from beginning of this game, he did not play as a usual TVP (like he didn't even try to do any paradrop, as it's totally useless against map hacker). There're more rep of this Protoss, but he can send only 1 to iodis. He also said he winned once and that in match he was 100% sure the Protoss was a hacker, however he can't send a rep that he winned.

At 21:48 (16:32 in game time) the protoss blindly sends a disruptor shot against a mine he didn't see before. It kills a stalker because he's bad at controlling his units, but there's no reason for that disruptor shot to come out when it did.

One thing I’ve thought of, why don’t you maybe do a dumbasses guide to Protoss? I have yet to find someone who knows how to explain things in such a way that makes it no only interesting but actually graspable for someone with a kind of pointy stick for a brain, and I think you’d get a lot of traffic through those sorts of videos, going through the basics of how the race actually works and why someone should/would pick them, and maybe later on breaking down concepts the race tackles on a frequent basis.

One thing I want to point out that made me think the other guy is potentially hacking. 21:48 you watch the protoss army dance around the mine range, he then sends a disruptive shot followed by two stalkers as if to bait a shot. If the two stalkers went first and he shot the mine AFTER the stalkers got hit, then I wouldn’t say anything. Just a bit sus. Don’t get me wrong. He could have seen the mine WAAAAAAAY earlier but from what I saw I don’t think he should have known it was there

I played skytoss years and years ago (havnt played in a long time, my computer wasnt good enough for sc2 back then so I quit lol - still reached high master in 2 months) -- I got told f u like at least a dozen times per day - people really don't like losing to skytoss.

I still believe the carrier is imbalanced but it wasn't the issue here

One of the issues with this series in regards to actually telling if something is imba is that you only really look at whether or not the player sucks but to tell if something is imba you would have to compare both players skill level. If both players suck to a similar degree but one just wins by a mile then that strat may very well be imba.

At the moment one says that other player is a hacker, one believes that he/she can't imagine him/herself to be as good. So in ones mind he has set a maximum skill level for him/herself, which is not good if you are pushing your limits to be the best. This kind of thinking does not take far. Harstems starting speech was good.

Speaking of playing without hands, I've heard that Elon Musk is developing a computer chip that goes into your brain. Imagine if you could play Starcraft with that... you would instantly become micro and macro god. Your units will do exactly what you want them to, and you would have literally infinite APM. Ofcourse you'd have to give up any crumbs of privacy you may still have, risk your health, and open up yourself to the possibility of your thoughts and maybe your entire personality and soul being controlled by Elon, but I think it's still worth it

Too bad player for it MMR. He shouldn't take those loses too hard. Just lose some games(the practice time) and then he will get lower MMR and opponents at his level and will start approximate 50% win rate till he got better. Painful truth - put same effort to analyze your mistake, get better rather into cry/whine - and you will be better.
