"Having attained Which, he does not think of any other gain as superior to That; being established in Which he is not shaken by the greatest of miseries."
Inspired by this text from the Bhagavad Gita (6.22), Swami Sarvapriyananda elucidates the nature of ultimate knowledge and bliss.
यं लब्ध्वा चापरं लाभं मन्यते नाधिकं तत: |
यस्मिन्स्थितो न दु:खेन गुरुणापि विचाल्यते || 22||

@@paramitabose2708 I couldn't fully understand your point. In our actual experience every object we look is made of conciousness without which it will not appear. This includes our own body. The ego mind creates a story around it. Then it becomes I am looking at a object. Without this little self, if we experience the world, we can feel the vastness of conciousness

Shankaracharya says that Brahman is self-effulgent and always purnam. Suddha buddha mukta . Individual soul is Brahman. Due to upadhi or limiting adjunct , this one self-effulgent Brahman assumes itself as jiva. When jiva is realized Brahmanness. What happens is just removal of this adjunct. If u say Brahman is experiencing purnam means, Was it not experiencing always? You already say experiencing, experienced and experiencer are due to limiting adjuncts. Brahman cannot experiencing its own self as a means of realization

Very good speech We think that we have highest education, big salary and develop very good property but that is temporary joy. People live in that joy called a confused state of mind which people compete with others. This is the present situation. At the end we all need to bow down and accept the almighty.

Maharaj, Pranams. As always excellent. At one point of time I was telling myself that how come we are trying to define Divine Mother through words (Mantras) while Divine Mother is beyond words. At 49:00, Swami was quoting same thing. Can someone help me with the sloka stating that...(forgive for trying to define you through words)

I doubt, too, that primitive people ever worshipped God as a stone or image. Just as there is NO SUCH thing as primitive language (all languages found /studied are sophisticated, they are just sophisticated in different ways than OURS), I see a parallel in the probable reality that there was no such thing as a section of mankind that worshipped God AS material form. We just misinterpret what exactly they are doing. OUR belief that they actually believed some stone (or even statue) was God seems more like a bit of modern egotism/narcissism on our part.

When we seek something we contribute to an idea that it is missing from us then create ideas of how to seek and obtain it so now intellectual faculties are going to work on over time now we need knowledge to calm ourselves down and remind self awareness so why not just drop all of it and stay as just the awareness for many this is not enough cause as you say we have no idea what “awareness “really means or is if it is infinite bliss why don’t I feel it this question really peaked my interest into Advaita Vedanta nowhere else is this really important to find out .

Pranam Swamiji... as usual very very nice talk. Swamiji You interpreted this verse in Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta which says that "By attaining 'that', greatest of sorrows will not touch you...". So in that light how will you explain the perticular event very often told among ShriRamKrishna devotees that took place in Totapuri's life that after his teaching to ShriRamKrishna and staying for a longer period than planned at Dakshineswar that once Totapuri himself was not able to enter into "Nirvikalpa Samadhi"?
