This gave me motivation to actually put pathways in my town and develop it, and the villagers will have a limited space to move in. Totally a win-win situation haha!! Thank you so much for this advice!!!
for ppl who don’t want to listen to her for 24 mins: all you have to do is place qr codes everywhere else except where you want your villager houses to be.
I am so glad I found this video! I deleted my first ever town because a viligar put their house directly in front of mine, and i didnt want to have to move my house lol. Thankfully my new town is shaping up rather nicely. I have my house plots set out in one row of five, one row of three, and one pair of two! The hardest part is filling in the rest of the town with blocks lol. After that it's a game of waiting for old villagers to move out and for your favorite villagers to move in! Hope all goes according to plan
When you miss just a few patches for patterns because of trees and rocks and the new villager decides to move everywhere twice except for the 4 spots you've left out 😅
tried this today and it worked!! i was so worried about a plot turning up where i didn’t want it so i basically covered my entire town with qrs lol. it was worth the time though!
Golly. Thanks for this. I'm having a hard time with my villagers all over the place....💕 EDIT : This guide is really good, I finally get them to live at the edge next ti the beach. But it took me 2 days because of Nan and Kyle didn't want to leave. I have them since the beginning and I was beginning to question myself why I put myself in that situation.. 😂😅 What I did was I replaced them with villagers that will easily move out,( if they seem to be very stubborn ) it was Fang and Olivia (the ones I have summon to kick out after to block a space then finally summon the villager I want which was Kyle and Nan) after two weeks in game, Fang and Olivia moved out. I tried calling Avery and Tom but they're both stubborn. Gayle and Merengue are also stubborn to move out. My hands were frigging hurt and there's a lot of mistaps. LoL! Although it's really satisfying now that they're all together. When you have amiibos its much easier even if you do not greet them, I personally think summoning them and not greeting them is way more easier, they tend to move out easier since they will feel shunned, this will still depend on the villager what trait it has. Goodluck to everyone who will attempt this. 💕
ik its 5 years old but this vid is super helpful, thank you! i’ve started playing new leaf again and i was always too intimidated to try lining up my villager houses but i decided to try it on my new town and it isn’t that bad! i’m having quite good luck with the villagers i want gone asking to move as well
When I used the generic designs/qr codes you start with it doesn't work for me, but with the scanned qr codes it does. Thanks for this video also it really helped. :)
When I first started my Second town almost all of the houses Were at the plaza Except one but they moved away. Currently 80% of the houses in the town are near the plaza Including Town hall, Retail and my house.
I'm so glad I saw this video ❤ I wanted so badly to put beautiful walking paths in front of my villagers homes but am on a pc emulator and can't do qr codes (no nfc reader) 😢 I have though, been newly inspired to customize my own stone paths in my designs and laying them down and seeing how that goes. I will try this tonight! Wish me luck ✨️
I did this! I bought all of my dreamie cards (damn Marshal and Julian were EXPENSIVE! But most of my favs are unpopular so lol) and I followed everything! Still not done with my town but it looks amazing so far! Thank you so much!!!
In 12 days it's my birthday, (August 1st) and I'm getting QRs. I feel kind of lucky now, because you talked about them so I'm pretty happy, and what makes it better is that it's the Sanrio set. (Which is one of the series I love and watch! ^w^)
I’m trying to do this at the moment, and I’ve left open spaces for people to move into yet they keep finding spots I’ve missed (usually where the trees are and I can’t see how many spaces there are there) like they come in, see there’s an open space for them but they’re like nah I’ll just cut down some trees to make room instead. Morons 😹😹
I have never time traveled before out of fear of screwing something up. But after testing yesterday with turnips, is not that bad. Thank you for this guide, I will try it to make my village look better.
My first day all of my villagers were in one place until.. One villager who is a anteater.. they moved right next to me.. so I pushed him in pitfall seeds and I pushed him a lot an innorded (I cant spell lol) his so much and he is still here! HE HAS BEEN HERE FOR 9 MOUNTHS!
I’m trying to do this with my town now, only half my villagers are amiibo and half non amiibo, so when I do the moving out part it’s only he non amiibo ones who ask to move. Then I’ll have to kick them out, and like you said they just put their house in the same place as the other villager. I don’t know how to get around it 🙄
"These villagers live to troll you so you have to make sure to cover up-ah every spot-uh." "I'm just gonna place some extra QR codes down-uh to prevent that-uh."
@@stupefy_ a valid spot is a spot the game can put them in... A non valid spot is up against other buildings, walls, or just too close to walls and buildings.
12:08 That's what I feel when Bob put his home on top of my flowers haha he removes it! It's next to my house so I just save it and let him live there XD
That makes 2 of us, don't worry. If the villagers you currently have are not that important, you can get rid of them. I will be sad to see Victoria and Chevre go (I love them), but, I do want to make my village pretty and their houses look awful where they stand.
damn, I did this for one villager to move in but I forgot a little piece of space right behind the spot I wanted and know he keeps placing his house there. I crying so hard right nowwwww
@@catsandbreakfast I don't think that's true. Villagers will not move until yo gain about 8 or 9. So it's impossible to have some move out and be left with 5.
If you are scared of messing up, then before you go into the game the next day make a new character (new save file) and go through the gameplay, if it is in the wrong spot then turn off the game without saving. Keep on doing this until it’s the right spot. DO NOT go into you main acc and put more qr codes in, otherwise it will mess it up. Just keep on resetting until it’s the right spot. When it is, just save the game and go into your main acc, you can delete the new save file, it will leave a patch with no grass but it will grow back if you put some flowers on top, this is the video where I learnt this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tMv0FiS4N84.html
Is there a way to do this even if all your Villegaers are from amiibo cards already. Like I didn’t know that this existed so I let them go wherever they want but if I rescan them, can I get them to go into a spot?
This is confusing. Sometimes you place 1 square per 3x3 acre, other times you're placing a full 9 squares in a 3x3 acre. Also, do you leave your town messed up for ever? Once everyone is where you want them, what happens when someone leaves? The next could move anywhere they want.
I think when she does the full 9 squares it’s to shape where she wants the villager house exactly at, sometimes she’s placing them just to be safe. Look on her town tour videos she definitely does not keep her towns like that forever lol She also checks her towns quite a bit to make sure no one has left. Hope that answered everything!
@@PalianeAnakakiaI read her written guide. I believe some of the time she is doing it because she wants the next villager in a certain spot, and not just any of her planned spots.
Hey I just saw your video and now I’m hardworking on getting everyone at the right spot - but what if anyone is at the right spot and I want to change one of my villagers ? Do i have to leave my town in this messy qr code stage ? 😭
People have speculated that villagers try to avoid flowers and stuff, so yes, you will have to move the villager you don't want out and cover your town with something that villagers try to avoid, whether that is QR codes or other items
Cameo Gooding You have to talk to the Able sister that is on the sewing machine for about a week and a half before she let’s you use the QR code machine, from there you can scan new patterns, I bet you already knew this since your comment is from 3 months ago
Okay, so I tried this, but the paths got taken out for a house even though I left empty spots for where I wanted villagers to move in. And yes, I triple-checked to make sure everything except for the house spots was covered. EDIT: I saw a comment saying that the starter designs don’t work which is what I used :T Do I absolutely have to use the scanned designs for this to work? It doesn’t explain why the villagers didn’t move in on the empty spots;;
What do you mean by editing? If you're talking about hacking yes it's a very hard process especially for the first time but if you're just talking about using this method and planning out your town it can be a long process but it's not that difficult
Heidi Otaku im pretty sure it actually ONLY works with 1.5 (if by that you meant the new welcome amiibo update) because before that update villagers could also move on top of paths :~)
